Unfair customer treatment. Will never go back.
I have been visiting this place regularly in the pass 5 months. Nice pastries and coffee. In the last two visits, I was being treated unfairly by the barista (man wearing a cap. I think he is also the owner). First time was last Saturday. I was the second in line and waiting to place my order. The owner took order for the person (Sydney water staff) behind me and asked him to pay at the cashier while the owner was making the coffee for him. Second time is today, I placed my order and was waiting. A girl jumped in front of the door. The owner said, I know, your boss needs a coffee. He then handed my coffee (I know it was my coffee because I have been tracking the movement of the lids on the coffee machine) to her. I didnāt get my coffee till the next batch of milk being frothed. I was not the only one shocked with such action. Two men were standing next to my also shown their disappointment with such cutting in line culture. If you want to treat your buddies differently then make two lines. Buddy and non buddy. Customers will move away eventually as what makes you decide your buddies time are more valuable than the rest of the customers. Will never go back. You had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first visit to Honey & Walnut, but we were there on the recommendation of friends who had been several times before. We went in search of Mille-feuille custard slice, however, like many other popular local patisseries, Honey & Walnut clearly has a legion of dedicated fans for this and other products, and they were sold out of this particular item by the time we visited late in the afternoon. Not deterred, we tried a few other cakes, and all were fresh and delicious. Definitely worth the visit! Business was brisk for the entire time we were there, with a steady stream of customers queuing for takeaway cakes. For those planning to eat in, I wouldnāt recommend doing so with a large group, as the floor area set aside for dine in customers isnāt large, and most of their tables are designed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFriendly staff, very rude barista. Today, I ordered a takeaway almond Cap. When I touched the cup, it was very hot and I sipped and realised I would burn my tongue. The good coffee has a proper temperature unless you order extra hot coffee!!!. Because I worked with very talented barista staff! When I told the barista it was very hot, instead of an apology or kind attidute, he warned me and taught me how I had to order coffee. He said, coffee should be hot. He kept talking what I needed to do. Sorry Barista!!! I am not very well trained!!! There was no drama from my side, just kindly a proper normal coffee request. It is not a gift, because I pay $5 (around). I am living in Dulwich Grove for two years. I have never faced an attitude from any place like that.
The rest of staff...
