Received an order from Bar Valente Cafe which was delivered by Uber Eats that was saturated in the hot beverage I ordered! I then took the dripping order back to the Cafe where the owner and staff refused to replace the order and suggested it was the delivery drivers issue!
They would not help me with a phone number to contact Uber Eats as they advised it wasn’t there problem! I could not get onto the Uber Eats delivery driver or Uber Eats via phone, I had to email Uber Eats and I am still waiting for a response and no food that was ordered and paid for!
So I’ve been ripped off by Bar Valente Cafe and Uber Eats! Disgusting 🤮 behaviour on behalf of the cafe to pass the buck and say it’s not their problem and they refused to replace the order!
Heads up, don’t think Bar Valente will replace your order if it’s wrong or damaged! They take your money though! Obviously they didn’t pack it correctly and are blaming the delivery driver!

I have been coming to this cafe for the past 15+ years regularly for so many reasons, one of which is the CONSISTENTLY GREAT COFFEE and BRUNCH, and at a very reasonable price! 😊👍
The two brothers who own the cafe, Yeat and Hassan, and their staff members are LOVELY and FRIENDLY. They always go out of their way to ensure that you feel welcomed and taken care of. All these creates a WARM atmosphere to chill, relax and enjoy the food and coffee! 😃👍👍👍
The facts that Valente Cafe has, for all these 15+ years, remained standing solidly (while so many other cafes around here at Dulwich Hill have come and gone), and that they have so many ‘old’, regular customers who keep coming, are great testaments to their commitment to provide great food and coffee, at HIGHLY-COMPETITIVE price, with GREAT SERVICE in a friendly and warm environment! 😃🥰

Hassan, Yead, Jamie and Paul are a great bunch of guys who always greet me with a smile, hello and smart remark for my morning and afternoon coffee breaks during my work at home arrangement due to COVID, the coffee is SUPERB and $4.50 for a large soy latte, can't get any better than that, coupled with their friendly service and wit of course its ALWAYS good to know the brothers are making my coffee just the way I like it, saves me explaining to a newbie how I like my coffee!
