What’s better than buying a waterproof jacket? A jacket that’s not waterproof and when you go into the store they gaslight you and tell you it’s your fault. I should’ve bought some magical range of chemicals to waterproof the waterproof coat. We’re done not one more dollar.

The service at this Macpac was excellent. I had bought a fair few things at Macpac Birkenhead and it amounted to roughly $230. I decided to buy another pair of pants so I could get the TRS at the airport. I didn’t know you didn’t have to have all your purchases in one receipt anymore so I went to Macpac Macquarie Centre to purchase the pants and get all my purchase under one receipt. When I got there the team members at Macquarie Centre kept making excuses on why they didn’t want to help me with putting everything into one receipt like they don’t return thermals and I need the physical products there as well as having my name on the receipt. They even went as far as to say to me “you should have thought about all this before you made purchases”...After they said that, I left the store without buying the additional pants I was hoping to get. It was a bad customer experience and was very close to returning all the products I had bought last week. I called Macpac Town Hall and a lovely guy called Tom spoke to me and found the pants I wanted to get. He put them on hold and I asked whether I needed to put all my purchases on one receipt and whether I needed to have my name on the receipt for the TRS. He said no, AND HE OFFERED to put them under one receipt anyway to make it easier for me so I’ll have my name on it as well as everything consolidated. When I was in store, I told him of my experience and he apologised profusely for my bad experience. He even gave me tips on claiming the TRS back online instead of waiting in line at the airport. He restored my faith in the Macpac brand. The other guys there were also friendly and approachable. Thank you Tom and the Macpac team...

I visited Mac Pac yesterday and left the store amazed with the service/customer service provided by Luke. He is a champion and delivered a 5 star service. First I got t the store at 5:28pm only 2 minutes before it closes. He look at me knoledging I was there and kept helping the lady he was looking after. As soon he finished with her he came to see me at the back of the store and ask if I need help. I am not very experienced adventure and had heaps of questions and he calmly, professional and very knowledgeable explain detail by detail in the items i was looking for and in any moment tried so sell expensive stuff. Actually knowing my needs he advised me to get the good deals they have at the moment in certain items. He saved my time as going around the CBD to look for price and options but after his attention and service I changed my mind. If his manager read it..you have a star in your...

I went to two other stores(paddy & kathmandu) before i stepped in Macpac, I got really really good services when I told the staffs in paddy pallin & kathmandu I am new to overnight hiking, both of the staffs explained and introduced nicely and patiently to me about everything I might need to know. But in Macpac, the staff only told me how "top" and "expensive" their stuff are and just ask me to go to adventure hub to look for entry level even before I was trying to tell him what I was looking for. I always love the design and quality of macpac gears. but had a really bad experience when I try to know more...
