What a racist and anti-Chinese establishment. I am not a Japanese person, do I look like I know how to fold an onigiri? If I do not want my onigiri unfolded, could you at least politely ask me why, and respectfully teaching me how to fold an onigiri, instead of treating me with such contempt and condescension for not knowing how to do it?

Ordered onigiri to takeaway and this was what I got (see pictures below). When I asked the manager Rose Ann (looked Filipino) to show me how to wrap the onigiri, she was extremely rude and refused to accommodate my request, and so condescending. When she went back to the kitchen I could hear her gossiping about me very loudly with the staff and they were all giving me mocking looks and laughing at me. The chef that was preparing the ramen was also looking at me with contempt (not sure if he’s Japanese, but he looked very unhappy and bitter).

I seriously wonder if this place is truly Japanese because I’ve been to so many other ramen and onigiri restaurants in Sydney but have received far more civilised treatment and authentic food. Also travelled to Japan many times and the food and service can’t even begin to compare the service and food I’ve received here

I would have walked out of this place straightaway but they had already charged my credit card before the food came. Also had to pay a hefty 10% surcharge for coming on a Saturday, which did not match the service or atmosphere or quality of food. They were squeezing so many people in one table, it felt more like a cheap fast food place than a restaurant. Also I notice that they did not serve tap water up front and expected us to order drinks. Truly inhospitable and shocking for a Japanese ramen place.(hesitating to call it...

Still one of my favorite ramen chains to date! I previously had dined at their Melbourne venues so was obviously very eager to try the first Sydney store. I lined up early for the the opening day dinner free ramen and was greeted by one of the owners, Sean. He was very friendly and constantly accommodating, he explained the system and even made sure we were comfortable whilst waiting in line. Once I got closer to the front, staff took down my name and party number so they could efficiently work out where to sit me. Once inside, staff greeted me straight away, led me to my seat which was part of a shared table and showed me how to order via QR code. Although ordering was online, staff still came around to make sure I understood the menu. I ordered the God of fire and staff warned me that it might be very spicy, so I selected level 1 spiciness only. After ordering, my ramen came out within 10 minutes. It was beautifully presented and tasted just as great. A well balanced flavoursome soup with noodles cooked to perfection. The portion was perfect too, not too little, not to much. I definitely would order it again, maybe even at a higher spicy level. On my way out, staff once again said goodbye and they even remembered my name, asking how I found my meal. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant, the staff are extremely friendly and service is very efficient, and on top of that, food was incredible. There might be long lines, especially as it's just newly opened, but it is quite a fast turnover, so definitely...

Came here as a group of two, not realising outside drinks weren’t allowed. We were told off at the entrance by a lady (Filipino-looking), who asked us to put them aside. Fair enough, it just would’ve been nice if there was a sign out front to let people know.

We ordered the mini ramen set which came with two onigiri of our choice, we thought it was great value. The ramen broth was rich and tasty, and we loved the garnishes on the table: sesame, raw minced garlic (a must-add for extra flavour), pickled ginger and takana. The noodles, broth, char siu, onigiri and edamame were all really on point.

The experience took a turn when we spotted a COCKROACH crawling on the wall next to us. We pointed it out to the same staff member, who looked surprised and removed it with a serviette, but didn’t offer any apology or reassurance. She just went back to chatting and laughing with others like nothing happened, which really killed our appetite. We left soon after, and didn’t even get the usual Japanese goodbye you’d expect when leaving a ramen shop.

Overall the food is pretty good, but the service and hygiene need serious attention. Based on other reviews, it seems we’re not the only ones who’ve experienced this. The owner should see this and take it seriously: training your staff and maintaining...
