I think this is one of the best things to do in Sydney. It is absolutely incredible paddling out into Middle Harbour. There are so many great things to do; a nice chilled out paddle with friends over to Clontarf beach and over to Balmoral beach for a coffee stop, or exploring the hidden bays up Middle Harbour. In summer if I'm lucky there's even a little boat that chugs around selling ice creams & coffees on the water - my overseas friends go nuts about this! (this business isn't related to Sydney Harbour Kayaks). I've always found their equipment to be really well maintained and they have some really nice high end kayaks and surf skis for hire. The staff are friendly and right into paddling. In summer it can get busy so I've found it pays to call ahead and make a booking, plus put on lots of sunscreen. If you're a frequent paddler like me, you can also buy an annual pass which works out to be really good value. This has to be the best "gym" in the world!

We went on a kayaking voyage through Middle Harbour for our work end-of-year party and Shannon was such a great guide and host. The equipment was all really well maintained and the crew who went out with us were super knowledgeable and helpful, especially to those who hadn't ever kayaked before. Can't wait to get back out onto the water with them!

Easy booking and nice place in Sydney to get out on the water. However, the customer service on the water today was very disappointing. The rep that helped me into my boat gave very little direction and scolded me for not listening to him. He then proceeded to scold me again when I asked a question and then I fell out of the kayak and he walked away frustrated. This was all in the span of 3 minutes. I couldn't have been that terrible of a human or person for this employee to get so angry and annoyed with me. I felt belittled, humiliated and not treated like a human being today. Luckily, a nice chap who wasn't Aussie came and helped me out by pairing me with a different kayak (didn't tip into the water this time), answered the 2 questions I had and spent maybe 1 minute running me through what to do. He was so helpful, kind and compassionate. If it wasn't for him I think I would have had a worse day. All in all, it was a good time but customer service needs...

Nice kayak ride, extremely bad service. Our booked time was first rescheduled, and then after arriving at the place we had to wait for an additional 1 hour because the group before us was late. We had an appointment so instead of kayaking for 2 hours we did 1h20min, and the staff told us they couldn’t refund us despite making it seem (before we paid) like we would get refunded for any time booked but not used. We had scheduled the kayak for 12:30 (which then was rescheduled by the company to 13:00) and only got in the water at 13:50. We’ve returned at 15:10, due to our appointment. One staff member (woman) was about to give us the refund considering the circumstances, but the other staff member (man) refused. Terrible service. All he could say is that this is part of their policy, they didn’t even apologize for their mistake getting in the way of our...
