I don't get the hype... I really don't. The beach is small, full of debris (twigs, rubbish, broken shells), can't walk on it without slippers. The water shouldn't be swimmable (it literally has a sewage contamination warning sign next to the beach). If you look at the bubbles washed up with the waves, they pop slowly (indications of pollution possibly from both the sewage and the oil from the numerous parked yachts nearby). Rubbish littered and dragged through on the lawn by local birds.. seagulls, turkey and ibis fighting for your food and rummaging through the garbage bins (ripped open a few garbage bags next to the...

Really lovely spot for a combined picnic and beach day. There's plenty of grass that comes right up to the sand, so you can pick your spot on either surface and have easy access to the water.

There aren't any waves, so it's perfect for water sports like SUP'ing, kayaking, etc. The water is lovely although there are quite a few boats around so it's not quite as pristine as...

Fantastic little harbour beach. Safe swimming for kids in the netted area and located along the Manly to Spit walk. Apart from the beach, there is a sizeable grass area, a very good cafe, toilets and a large car park. It gets very busy in the summer holidays, so it's worth getting there early, or nipping up for a late one...

Best kid-friendly beach, with its fabulous location on the shore. There is also a well-equipped and shaded unfenced playground with activities for toddlers and older children, plus a toddler bike path around the sandy play area. Parking is available on site, and there’s an excellent little kiosk on the beach and a restaurant.

Such a beautiful and quiet beach to spend a nice time with friends and family. Easy to access thanks to the car park. There is a protected swimming area to safely enjoy the beach. There is huge park to have some shade during the warmest days of the year.
