Willoughby Fresh — Local services in Sydney

One of the best examples of why we should support small local family businesses! Started using their convenient free same day home delivery service during iso and have continued ordering our fruit, veg and dairy from them regularly. Excellent produce at reasonable prices and outstanding service from the friendliest owners! Some tasty home cooked meals as well from Nonna too.

I'm picky with my produce and prefer to pick them myself, and often big supermarket packers will just grab anything off the shelf including the nasty old produce lol. From the first order, Willoughby Fresh has always picked items like they were picking it for themselves, e.g. the produce is always fresh (true to their name) and high quality, not withered, and they pick some ripe and ready to eat fruit but some that are less ripe so they can be stored for enjoyment later in the week. This level of thoughtfulness is something you'd only get from a small business who cares about its customers.

Cold items arrive like they've just come out of the fridge, including yoghurt, since everything's delivered in a refrigerated van, often by one of the friendly owners (Ray) who stops for a quick chat. With other businesses, I've often ended up with runny yoghurt but never with these guys.

The service from Caroline (one of the owners) has been fabulous and very quick. On the rare occasion where there was a missing item during busy periods, I was happy to just have the item delivered the following week to save them the trouble - but they came back around the same day to deliver the missing item and gave me more than I had ordered to make up for it. And on the occasions where the price of an item had dropped from when I had ordered them, they would make up for it by giving me extra of that item rather than pocket the difference.

They've always made me feel like a valued customer and have even left a few thank you surprises. Honestly, one of the best small businesses I've ever come across and they are very deserving of their recent small business award :) Thank you Caroline & Ray for your outstanding service...

WORTH THE TRIP I came across this hidden gem a few weeks ago. WOW! this is so much more than a Fruit shop from the minute you walk through the doors you are greeted with a smile and a big "hello" instantly feeling so welcome. I then have a little look at the home cooked meals that are prepared onsite. The Minestrone Soup is out of this world and enough for 2 people with a crusty roll which you can also buy instore. I now drive 20 minutes to get the most authentic Italian homemade meals & soups and the finest of fruit and vegetables and the best customer service ever!. If I could give 7...
