Talamini Ice — Local services in Ghent

I have no idea why people say this is the best ice cream in Ghent. That's just not true. I have tried three flavours last week, and all of them were watery rather than creamy. Ik kom al van kinds af aan naar Talamini (zelfs nog waar het binnenkomen was via de garage). Tot en met vorig jaar steeds goed bediend door een vriendelijke oudere dame met grote bollen ijs. Het ijs smaakt dan ook heerlijk (typisch Talamini), maar sinds de opening dit jaar, zijn het telkens (verschillende?) studenten waar geen controle gebeurt want het is enkel de student die de shop openhoudt. De bollen van vroeger zijn nu kleine bolletjes die niet goed aangedrukt worden op het hoorntje waardoor mijn dochtertje voorzichtig haar ijsje moet opeten zodat het niet valt. Het was niet eenmalig, maar vandaag was voor mij de laatste keer… Heel jammer om mijn ijsjes bezoek niet meer op de volgende generatie door te geven want dat is tenslotte waar Talamini ook om draaide vroeger. Het zou beter zijn om te investeren in 1 vast gezicht die aangeleerd krijgt om ijs...
