My daughter and I stayed 5 nights in the Van der Valk Congres hotel . We were at the hotel for a 4 day dance competition at the nearby event center and as a treat booked us both spa treatments . Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. My daughter had a manicure and pedicure with polish. They only offered a children’s polish set with limited colors that looked like it was part of a toy set .They did not soak her hands or feet or clean her cuticles, they did the bare minimum in care. The polish applied to both her hands and feet were washed off immediately once she went to wash her hands and in the pool. I had a facial and while the mask was set , the technician left the room for 15 minutes, instead of doing the normal extras like scalp or hand massage. Once treatment was finished my face had exfoliate left on it . In all honesty it was the WORST facial I have received. And we travel internationally and like to have spa treatment. When I went back to talk to the women about my daughter’s polish coming off, they were no where to be seen . A note was left with a gentleman at the gym for them to contact me, but not surprising I did not hear for them. I would not recommend the overpriced Zenao spa that requires you to pay prior to services. They probably ask for payment ahead of time , because the services are not to be expected . Disappointing for the price point. 170 € for a nail clipping and some products to be applied to my face. Save your money and book treatments elsewhere. Next year when we return to Liège we will...
Read moreI was excited yesterday to have a massage, wellness, and all... only to my dismay. Their so-called "signature massage was not a massage at all! Gliding hands with oil and no pressure at all? She never uses her thumbs for massage. It makes me more stressed 😩 thinking about what she was doing. I asked her to put more pressure, but she didn't do it. She doesn't speak English. The person who assisted me with my booking via WhatsApp chose this "Signature" massage for me. and didn't even bother to ask me or give me an option of which massage I would like to have? Unethical to do for hotel spa personnel. I had tried all kinds of massages, like Swedish, Thai, shiatsu, stone, ventosa, etc. Ayurvedic massage is more pleasant. But this "Signature" massage is the worst massage I've ever experienced! 85€ for nothing!...
Read moreDisappointing massage, that was basically an exercise in gentle stroking, often with just one hand at a time. I asked her several times for a deeper, stronger massage but there was not a huge difference. The young lady never even used her thumbs to get into any deeper muscles and it always felt superficial. I certainly didn’t feel like she understood any of the main muscle groups in the shoulder and neck areas. And the foot massage was pitiful. I guess it would be fine if you just wanted someone to relax you and gently rub oil on you, but I said I had a sore back and wanted to sort out my back and neck. Not...
