The ice cream is delicious. However, the shop lacks familiarity with a fundamental geometrical concept: the sphere. A young man working there seemed to be under the tutelage of another man who also seemed unfamiliar with spheres. Perhaps they are familiar with spherical shapes but didn't have the tools commonly associated with the creation of spheres. After we placed our order, we watched in horror as they attacked the surface of the ice cream with paddles that seemed to work against them. I was served by the young man whose disregard for the presentation of the gelato was tantamount to an act of war. The other man prepared the second part of our order, depositing smears of ice cream onto the cone in a highly unorthodox fashion. Neither of us wanted to pay, but most of all we didn't want to bear further witness to these crimes against gelato culture. We both walked out onto the street holding these travesties, screaming.
