By Kim is known for its iconic 12-layer chocolate cake, and it definitely lives up to the hype. I stopped by with the hope of enjoying it at the café, but at the time they weren’t seating guests, so I grabbed a slice to go. The atmosphere looked inviting, but I didn’t get to experience much of it.

The cake itself was incredible. Rich, soft, and beautifully balanced in flavor. The chocolate leans more toward cacao than milk chocolate, giving it just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sugary or bitter. The texture was dense and smooth in the best way. It is on the pricey side for a single slice, so I do wish it were a bit more affordable, but I still recommend going at least once to try it. A few days back we went to this patisserie that gained some fame on account of their take on Brazil's traditional "pão de queijo." Since they had just run out of that particular item, we tried their tiramisu and a "brigadeiro" chocolate cake. Both were amazing, some of the best we ever had, with just the right balance of sweetness. The friendly owner was there at the counter, which is always a good sign for a business. They only have a few tables, so either come during off hours or go for the takeout. So, since our first review, we went back a few times to enjoy their superb desserts. Fui conhecer essa confeitaria em um sábado, depois de ver um vídeo nas redes sociais. Confesso que sempre fico com um pé atrás com indicações de blogueiros, mas dessa vez fui surpreendido — positivamente! O lugar superou todas as expectativas.

Tudo que experimentei estava maravilhoso, com sabores marcantes e uma apresentação impecável. O pão de queijo folhado realmente faz jus à fama: é de outro mundo, leve, crocante e super saboroso. Já o cheesecake é uma verdadeira delícia, cremoso na medida certa e com uma base perfeita.

Outro ponto que merece destaque é o atendimento. Fui muito bem recebido desde a chegada — equipe simpática, atenciosa e pronta para explicar o cardápio com paciência e gentileza. Dá pra perceber o cuidado com cada detalhe e o carinho no atendimento ao cliente, o que faz toda a diferença na experiência. Com certeza voltarei...
