Read moreMe and my gf are more than excited to have this store in our lovely Aurora, but after a few visits, I found my feelings very complicated. The store overall is good, providing all the stuff we need and food we are looking for. It has basically everything as hard quality, but lacks almost everything in soft quality. I will elaborate one by one. 1, the store staff are mainly newly hired. They have very few customer service skills and experience. Last time my gf bought something way more expensive than she expected (I'll explain later) and the staff tried to hold her back, assuming she's gonna run away and not pay. Until a manager-like person came over and said it's okay, just leave it on the counter, my gf got to "be released". I paid everything afterall cuz I don't wanna create a scene but it's not looking good on the entire store: we are customers, clients, not thief or burglars. Quit your mainland China mindset! 2, many stuff they have are more expensive than other stores: meat, fruts, tofu, already-made food and etc. Their jian bing guo zi is not tasty at all. They don't offer book selection. Their choice of lunch special is almost near to none. I bought a lunch "special" on grand opening day and I didn't feel like too much but it cost me $15.8?! I could easily go dine at a restaurant for this price. 3, me and my gf bough almost $100 on the grand opening day. Later we got to know that we could redeem $5 gift card and a free shopping bag with the receipt over $50 or $40. I came to the customer service counter and asked about this. The staff first smirked a bit and asked if we had called the store to reserve a bag or not. I said no cuz I didn't know this until very recently. She continued on smirk and said their bags were out of stock and I'd have to come back later. Her smirk made me feel very cheap, like I came all the way to claim my $5 and bag. I still rate it 2 stars cuz it just opened. We need to give it more time. But based on the few visits so far, I would not recommend this store. Thanks for reading this...
Read moreI purchased CHILLY FISH HEAD which include a frozen fish head, soy sauce , and chopped chili. I was satisfied with the first purchase so I think I would get the exactly same quality product. However, my second purchase was not so pleasant. After I follow the cooking instruction to thaw the frozen fish head , it smelled strange, I had to throw it away. The thing is I already got it for more than 1 week, so I can't return it. I decided to write a review on TNT website. Unfortunately, they didn't post my review. Too bad. I attached the fish head review online , and hey all positive, it's fine, because I didn't notice any other product's reviews. But under my post review, they need check and verify, and the check and verify takes more than half a month now.
Another issue was I ordered two different types of the ground pork last summer. However the regular and the lean which is higher price were the same fat percentage. This order was placed last summer, and they were exactly the same product, but charged different price. I explained the situation and posted the pictures, but the refund didn't processed until now??How ridiculers! They neither asked me for more information nor give me a response. For such a tiny thing lost a loyal customer's trust? I don't understand.
For those little complain I usually let it go, because complain takes time and go back to the store to return 10 dollars products takes time. Some other situation like expired in two month's CALPICO beverage on sale at 1.99 CAD, original 6.49 CAD (or more), was a good deal, I got 4 bottles and very happy. When I order online at the original price I expected the date was longer but to my disappointment they are the same expiry date and original price...
Those little something , when come together might not...
