The Granite — Restaurant in Bancroft

Humiliated!!!! Been eating here 4 years, every other week, never an issue. We tip well so servers remember most of our orders & hubby's drink orders. Came in, usually lady came to the door she was a bit short with us, I paid no mind was busy that night. Ordered stuffed chicken ,he ordered wings & both meals were cold. The server asked if I wanted another meal & said she send supervisor over, I said no need. The lady that seated us came to the table & said," everytime u come here we have issues maybe its better you guys just leave & not come back !"My quiet responce was what r u talking in 4 years I've complained once time before in 4 years. I eat at all 3 tour restaurants.The lady at the table beside us mouth dropped. I was embarrassed tear in my eye. Jer said go to the car ill pay. I walked out quietly ate no food I don't know if she confused me with someone else don't know. I know alot of people in town go to alot of restaurants in town no issues so I'm still puzzled. Jer went & talked to the manager & he told jer that supervisor said I didn't want to come here no more. That's a lie. I love the food & people I would never say that & I love the service. If she can't handle a busy restaurant maybe she shouldn't supervise. I've seen her many times no issues. People who know me ,know I'm good hearted person. So people food is amazing, staff mostly great This supervisor needs to apologize for her rudeness or assumptions what ever it may be. But this was our spot. 1 of the male servers brings our drinks to the table b4 we even order does that sound like trouble ?

Update: owner just messaged ," your still mad I see." It's not mad it I was told to leave & not come back. Today is our 24th anniversary & I couldn't go to my favorite restaurant . First time here, not sure if we will be back. Food is delicious! Service is horrible. Let me share a bit about our experience tonight. We walked in and were greeted with a friendly smile and were told there were no tables inside only on the patio and it's getting chilly as it is dusk meanwhile, we could see a table for 6 available right by the stairs. So we proceeded to the patio and walked by another empty table for 4. After we ordered our drinks and apps the sun completely set and the wind started picking up so we asked again to move inside and the original table we first saw was the one they moved us to. We read a ton of reviews about the "best sweet potato fries" which held up to the reviews however a very small disappointing portion for $9.00. Not at all impressed. My friend ordered a side salad with her wings, it never arrived. She was also asked if she preferred blue cheese or ranch...which also never arrived. Our water was never refilled and the server never came back once to check on us, she brought the food and that was it, we never saw her again. I had to fill my own water myself, twice, with the silver pitchers on the bar beside my table. Like I said the food is fantastic, so if you don't mind poor service with good expensive food, then you will enjoy...

Unfortunately our visit began with some difficulty as the wheelchair accessible entrance was blocked by many vehicles that were parallel parked along the side of the building (one of which was a police vehicle - who saw us trying to maneuver the wheelchair around the cars and gave us a very sheepish grin and wave). There was also no specific disabled parking in the lot so that also made it a bit challenging. Once we made it inside though we were seated right away and drinks were served quickly. Unfortunately the food orders took well over an hour to come. There were other tables that ordered after us and finished their meals before we even had one appetizer. We ended up just asking for some of the orders to go. By the time we maneuvered back around the vehicles outside with the wheelchair and got our family member into the van the food was ready. The food itself was definitely good, no complaints on the quality. It was the unfortunate combination of the difficult wheelchair accessibility and the length of time to receive the food that warrants a 3 star...
