Food Basics — Local services in Brampton

I've been going to this location for over 5+ years or so, since before I moved to the area and this is hands down my favourite location.

Always consistent with the products, clean and we'll stocked.

Great selection of world food items in my opinion compared to other grocery stores.

I always drive to this location instead of other food basics locations for those exact reasons.

Sometimes price signs are missing from products which leads me to have to put things back or with the cashier.

I wish they company had some kind of rewards program and price match.

Not as much staff on the floor as with most locations, but the ones who are there are generally helpful.

Yesterday in particular I was served by a lovely cashier, her name is Tosin I believe. I watched her interact with the customer before me and she was very personable and friendly as with me. We chatted away as she processed my transaction in a timely manner.

She even helped me with my groceries when my baby started to whine. She made what would've been a very stressful situation so easy! Thank...

So I was just at this location and the store closed at 8 and I got there at 8:02 thinking the store closed at 10, a mistake on my end. Anyway, I kindly asked if I could just quickly grab a formula for my baby because I had no other formula for her at home, which wouldn't take a minute. There was an attendant who was going on and on saying she will not cash because I am disrespectful of their time. The supervisor came and he understood that I just needed 1 formula and asked kindly if another attendant could cash me. That attendant said no and put his keys on the counter saying he does not get paid for overtime and said he wouldn't cash. The supervisor really wanted to help and there was another cashier who helped me out and I just want to say, sometimes we don't have to be hard and fast all the time, we can help others out and I really really want to thank the supervisor and the cashier who were willing to help out a situation. What really impressed me was the commitment to customer service shout out to one of the managers Carmine not sure if spelled correct but he is a first class leader who leads by example!
