Thai Express Lougheed — Restaurant in Burnaby

The food and customer service at Thai Express is excellent. The food is fresh and always prepared exactly as requested. However, their Rewards program is a joke. Often, the machine where you enter your phone number to earn rewards is not working. They advertise promotional points for purchases which they do not award. I’ve contacted Customer Service assuming it was probably an error but have not received a response. This leads me to believe that Thai Express is intentionally deceiving its customers by advertising promotional points and then not awarding them or replying to correspondence. I refuse to support businesses engaging in such dishonest and deceptive practices.

Ordered the 3G, Red curry with breaded chicken. With a drink, came to around $18 after tax. ~. Gigantic portion! But so tasteless and really awful textures. I expect mall food to be a shadow of the cuisine it's trying to be but this was beyond expectation and not in a good way. The curry had next to no flavour; needed some kind of salt or acid badly. I recently visited this Thai Express location, and I was impressed by the quality of the food. The portions were generous and well worth the price. I tried the Pad Sew Ew, and the flavors were great, with a good balance of spices. The noodles were cooked just right, and the vegetables were fresh. The service was quick, and the overall experience was solid. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on both taste and portion size, this location is a great choice.
