Disgusting Customer Service – Stay Far Away! I have never written a review like this before, but our experience at Ashley HomeStore (901 64 Ave N.E. Calgary) today (April,10th @4pm) was so shockingly bad that I feel obligated to warn others. If you enjoy being treated with rudeness, arrogance, and complete disregard, then by all means, visit this store. We’ve been actively furnishing our home, placing orders and making purchases from high-end stores like Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, and Williams Sonoma. Having already purchased our living and dining room furniture, we decided to get our bedroom sets from Ashley. We had already researched their collections online and walked in with cash and cards in hand, fully prepared to buy two suites on the spot. As soon as we arrived, we found one set we had seen at another store and told Marco (the sales manager) and an associate (whose name isn’t even worth remembering) that if their price was better than the competitor’s, we’d buy two sets immediately. Otherwise, we were still interested in at least one of the others. After taking 10-15 minutes to check prices, the associate came back with a higher quote than the competitor’s. And that was completely fine—we understand every store has different pricing, slight variations, and specs. We simply pointed it out and were ready to move on to the next set. And that’s when she snapped. Her attitude flipped instantly. She got defensive and rude, demanding to know the exact competitor’s price. When we told her, she looked us dead in the eye and said, “Well, it looks like I’m wasting your time and mine.” Excuse me? YOUR JOB is to provide pricing. That’s literally what you’re paid to do. But because we happened to know a price in advance, we were suddenly treated like a nuisance? Unbelievable. Despite her shockingly bad attitude, we still expressed interest in the other two sets. But at that point, she had already decided we weren’t worth her time. She gave us nasty looks, refused to engage, and made it clear she had no intention of helping us further. I finally had enough and walked away while my wife stayed, still hoping for some basic professionalism. I even told Marco, the sales manager, that we needed to talk. Instead of addressing the situation, he pulled the rude associate aside and disappeared. We waited for 15 minutes with our money out, ready to spend over $10000. The store was practically empty, there were plenty of staff available, yet we were completely ignored. If this is how they treat serious buyers, I can’t imagine how they treat casual shoppers. It’s almost as if their staff is deliberately driving customers away. So, to the owners of this store—are you even aware of how your employees are ruining your business? Because based on our experience, your staff is more interested in stroking their own egos than actually making sales. Ashley HomeStore, today you didn’t just lose a potential $10,000+ sale—you lost a customer for life! After leaving, we went straight to a competitor and happily spent $5,500 on a bedroom suite(BOS attached)—and we’re still shopping for another one. Thankfully, not at your store. To anyone considering shopping here—stay away. There are plenty of other furniture stores that actually respect their customers. Spend your money where it’s valued. 🙃

I had originally post a great review for Ashely home furniture. However, that was before the furniture had been delivered. The associate in the store who helped us, assured us that the small space couch we were looking at would fit in our home. She told us that if it didn't we could send it back no problem and switch it for something else (love seat) . When the furniture arrived , the couch wouldn't fit. We went to the store the next day to let them know about the couch and to switch it with the loveseat. They said that would be fine, but would have to pay the 10% restocking fee or whatever it was called. Thats fine. The associate told us she would do the paperwork and get back to us when the couch would be picked up and loveseat delivered. It has now been a week, and this couch is still in our home. The finally got back to us today and told us they will take the couch back , but would only be able to give us the loveseat at full price, not the sale price which it was on the weekend. So now we are stuck with this couch that doesn't fit in our home. Thanks Ashely Home store. We had also purchased a dinning room table/ chairs. When we put the table together there are these weird marks on the surface of the table. 6 of them in total. When we asked about these marks, they told us "they give the table a rustic look". It looks very unnatural. We checked if it was on the display model, it was, however some seem to almost hidden under decorations on the table. When unpacking the chairs, a large bag of silica was broken inside the box. This caused an enormous mess everywhere and a safety issue as I have small children and pets that could ingest these. I'm still finding them around, even after vacuuming MANY times. This was our first purchase and definitely will be our last from Ashely Home Store.

Do not give this store your business! HORRIBLE customer service with NASTY employees! We purchased a NAVI sectional upon receiving it on May 28. The movers are the one who prompted us initially - they asked us if we had purchased a floor model to which we replied NO - we paid full-price for a BRAND-NEW sectional. Upon closer inspection, we noticed the sectional was exceptionally dirty, lint everywhere, fabric pilled at the bottom, scuffed/tears in multiple places, a saggy seat cushion, amongst other things! The sectional also clearly had plastic tags on the arm rest for your floor price tag. We called the Ashley store and they spoke to the movers and asked them to take it back and they refused saying it would be replaced at a later time. Called the Winnipeg customer service and they were extremely rude. We then went to the store and the "Sales Professional" MAYA SPEERS right away spoke to us very rudely as we were trying to get justification why we were sold a floor model. She was extremely rude to me, constantly rolling her eyes and dismissing us with her hand and repeating "whatever" in front of my 4 yr old daughter. She even threatened to call security on us - ?!? We were dumbfounded to say the least to be treated with such blatant disrespect and nastiness. This company is extremely sketchy - trying to dump a floor model at a customer's home as brand-new. It would also be nice if you start hiring educated people who don't have nasty personalities and train them on what customer service is and how to properly deal with customers. Pictures of our "Brand-New" sectional attached.

DONT BUY FROM HERE!!

I thought that once I was financially able to spend money on higher priced furniture I was going to get better quality. I was sorely mistaken. If I could turn the clock back I NEVER would have purchased ANYTHING from Ashley’s. I am so incredibly disappointed in Ashley’s for their quality of products and service that has been provided. I feel completely and utterly ripped off and that I should have just saved my money and gone to IKEA, After-all; I would have gotten better quality

I spent over 15K on furnature, 3 FULL bedrooms, 2 living rooms and a dining room.

And I have major issues with 3/4 of the items.

3 back couch cushions don’t have liners inside - I was told that they don’t always include liners and then they assumed that I remove the outside to machine wash, which I don’t!! You don’t seem to realize that the liners help to reinforce the cushion so it holds its shape. im CONSTANTLY taking the cushion off and stepping on it to get the shape back. Absolutely horrible quality for what I paid!!! Plus the throw pillows are EXTREMELY uncomfortable, and honestly not even useable.

My living room table is supposed to be wood, yet it has bubbles everywhere, and is now chipping. Real wood does NOT bubble! I had water on it for literally 30seconds and it bubbled. I paid over $1K for this and for what??? I was told that this was not covered.

Both stools have small tears. And I was told it was cosmetic and it would ONLY be covered if reported within 48hrs after delivery.

My dining room table has a stain since delivery. But didn’t notice until the 1st time we used it a week later because we were unable to use the dining room because we were still unpacking

I have 3 couch sections that creek when sat on, HOW is this possible when the set isn’t even a year old!!! This isn’t even going to last long and I paid an ASTRONOMICAL amount of money for this!! The quality is absolutely horrendous!!

Turned out that the headboard delivered was the wrong one, and that i was charged for the wrong one. Didn’t notice for a while because it’s in my daughters room in the basement and she didn’t use her bedroom until we received the correct box spring. WAs told there was nothing that could be done.

1 week after I had my items delivered, I started ATTEMPTING to contact Ashley’s through numerous txts msgs with pics and videos, phone calls and even my sales manager sent emails and NOTHING has been done. I spent over 10K with u guys and I would have gotten better quality from the brick and ikea!! Im now told that even though I bought the extended warranty NOTHING can be done for any of the issues I have. Saying I’m irate is a complete and utter...

I wish I could give no star and post but ugh, it was an awful experience with Ashley. I would not recommend at all. I would rather prefer not having furniture. It has been worst customer service I have dealt in my whole life. I have been communicating with guest care and the store from past 6 months. There is no internal communication between the departments. Team members keep on calling for the same reason every time. Every piece of Furniture has been delivered more than thrice with some or the other defect and broken with large cracks. Especially the manager who knew that the furniture we ordered wasn’t in stock and we weren’t informed about it in advance. We were promised wrong dates for the arrival dates of the furniture. The guest care department says different and the in store staff says different days and different possible reason for the delay of the furniture delivery. Manager never responds to the call and never gives a call back regarding the dates. It’s difficult to catch hold of the manager and for that we have to drive to the store more than couple of times and it’s worse to do all this just to know the status of the delivery. There is never a positive response from the staff and neither are the convincing commitments. We ordered dining set past 6 months and they only delivered the chairs that too after 2 deliveries in which the table was broken when delivered and still we haven’t got the table. What’s the use of chairs when I don’t have the table to dine on. And we still have to pay for the dining table. The delivery guys also damage the walls while bringing the deliveries which is even worse as we already have to deal with the store and now the damage. We were also promised for the credit as we had to deal with the mental stress for dealing and talking for hours everyday for weeks and we haven’t received that as well. Now when we’re telling to cancel some of the items from the order as they said it might take more than couple months that too not sure they’re charging the cancellation fees. It is not at all fair to bare the charges after taking all the stress and paying the amount and still not receiving the ordered furniture on time without any damage. Not only that, personally I have to take leave from work every time as it’s not just couple of times it’s been more then several times that they have to deliver the furniture and when they deliver it’s always damaged and broken. They also delivered the bed but did not have hardware to fix the bed and had to wait more then three weeks that too after giving more than couple of reminders to bring the hardware and still not...
