After my flight, got an email to leave feedback. So I figured I would post it here also. Q: WE APPRECIATE EVERYONE WANTS MORE FLIGHTS (AND PROBABLY FOR LESS MONEY), BUT CAN YOU THINK OF ANY OTHER WAYS TO MAKE IFLY BETTER?
A:1. felt way too "salesie". I don't want to feel like I am getting upsold during my entire experience. 2. What you expect vs what you get. I was hoping to have the instructor work on technique with me and get to try flying on my own a little. Like all of your marketing materials. Not just hold my waste and spin me around in circles. 3. more time per flight especially if the group is small. The instructor should have the freedom to use that time slot as they see fit. If there are 10 people okay get in get out. But small groups. let them stay in for an extra 1/2 or full minute each flight. 4. Allow an option to Tip your instructor. I would've left a huge tip if I could have and if I wasn't feeling rushed in rushed out and upsold. 5. Have more clear options about membership and progression. I was confused the whole time trying to figure out how I can get inside the tube alone. I bought a 4 flight package and added/selected high flight. I thought that was included for each flight.
Q:WE GET MANY NICE COMMENTS & TESTIMONIALS TOO. IF YOU HAVE SOME, PLEASE ADD THEM HERE AND THANK YOU.
A:My instructor, Nicole I think her name was. Small blond with a hand tattoo. Supper awesome. If I could just come in, pay $500 and spend time in the tube working with her I would 100% do it. I saw 2 people do that after my session was over. They just got in there and played for about 3 minutes per flight and did that 3 times. I walked up to them after their session to try and figure out how they signed up for that. That's what I wanted when I signed up. Another Highlight was just sitting and watching the instructors train and "dance" was a Huge highlight. I liked that almost as much as my flights. None of my previous criticism should be in reflection of the instructor. Those are more...
Read moreMy 2 star review is based on the lack of safety, lack of instruction, pressure to fly when I communicated that I had sustained an injury during my earlier runs, and unnecessary upselling.
I had communicated to the staff that I had previously skydived, but not for years, and was looking to try indoor skydiving for the purpose of reskilling. Immediately, I was directed to a 10-flight package of around $200. I had asked for other options and was given none. I found out later that were other options for a smaller number of flights that were not offered.
Upon arriving onsite, the instructor blitzed through body position. I asked for clarification on technique for stability and balance, and pushed for more. The answer I got was "don't worry, it will be fine!" I tried again to ask for technical pointers and got a similar answer.
I was then mashed together with a tourist class that were not focused on technique and asked to rotate in between them, which again, is neither appropriate nor ideal for technique.
I strained my shoulder on my first run, and pushed through for 2 more runs. During my 3rd run, I tried to signal to my instructor that I could not continue due to injury, but of course we hadn't discussed or agreed on hand gestures ahead of time, so I had to push through that run until time ran out.
By my 4th run, I communicated to the instructor and staff that I would be unable to continue due to injury and pain. Rather than prioritizing safety, they tried to pressure me into continuing, saying I would not be refunded for my remaining flights. I acknowledged that, and was again pressured into trying to continue. There was priority on safety, or that fact that I told them that I was injured and unable to continue.
I am deeply disappointed in this experience and the staff's lack of emphasis on safety, instruction and technique, and hope that the facility will take this feedback to improve on their processes...
Read moreWhat an AMAZING experience. We came in and booked with Aurelia at front, and flew with Adrien. Aurelia made the booking process easy and clear, presenting all the options and costs clearly and being exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Even waiting for our booking, every staff member in the building was so welcoming and friendly answering all of our questions before we evem started. It’s apparent everyone in the building is bursting with passion for flying. I can’t express how talented Adrien is to watch and as an instructor. We went in our first time and he was fully in control, made us feel safe, and took the time to explain and show us basic movements. An absolute pleasure to have Adrien as the instructor and his demonstration after was even more impressive. I was hesitant to go when my girlfriend suggested it but after I have to say she was so RIGHT. i didn’t read the reviews until after and I do understand this activity can get pricey, but try to remember that they have:
BUILT A BUILDING TO DO THIS. the technology and engineers is fascinating! ( would love a behind the scenes tour one day!)
filled a building with passionate people who LOVE this sport and are actively willing to share their art with YOU
YOU ARE FLYING. LIKE SUPERMAN. Its not super long but you’ll get tired fast. Most average people don’t have the stamina to go for so long. The instructors are VERY MUCH athletes. Again. They are bringing you the experience of FLYING. I can’t overstate how insane that is.
Thank you so much to everyone on staff who made this such an amazing experience, I would absolutely return. In fact im already...
