Meltwich Food Co — Restaurant in Calgary

Food was ok, but overpriced at $22 for a grilled cheese with chicken in it, and a simple milkshake, no side. No complaints about the service and atmosphere, but I was left a little disappointed with the price based on what I got.

Edited since the restaurant replied: I don't frequent this area often and wanted to try something different, coming back to take advantage of a deal of the day was not an option, and even at a discount I don't think the food would be worth it. I did not get a beef burger or French fries (my order would have been $30 for one meal) so that does not pertain to my review at all. One little chicken strip and barely any visible toppings on my sandwich definitely does not make it worth what I paid. Met my friend for some business decided to get some lunchie, he had scoped out this place Meltz Sandwich Co so we checked it out.First impression is it was clean, nice decor the menu was bright and laid out well.We decided to play it safe and go with there burger, because if they can't get that right than the Melts wont be worth it.There basic burger is called ( The Standard) but they should consider changing it to the (The Boring Burger)..... which is $8.95 alone than to make it a combo add $3.95 includes fries and a bottle/can beverage (no fountain) which is pretty lame.So first thing is if your looking for value for your money you won't find it here....tiny little burger the size of a Burger King value whopper but triple the price ! Now it was fresh & cooked alright, but patty didn't have any seasoning I could taste.Basically the burger was Mehhh....and I don't see myself every craving a Meltwich Boring...

This is my second time having a sandwich from Meltwich, first time at this location. I like the comfort food options available and the quality seems there given the higher end price point. It takes a while to get your food, but that seems like it's due to each sandwich being made fresh instead of slapped together like in most chain fast food joints. Just one thing to note though - It smells like dirty mop water in the dining area, which is a turn off to the senses and makes me worry about the cleanliness of the back of house. I got the mac and cheese philly sandwich, which is good - but would be tastier with some kind of BBQ sauce on it, as it's kind of dry otherwise.
