Mountain House Furniture — Local services in Calgary

I am writing this review to share my very unpleasant experience with the Mountain House Furniture. We bought a rustic decorative shelf. We they delivered it we found several defects on the self (see attached pictures). Also the self was so dusty and unclean, it took couple of hours to clean it. We contacted the Mountain House Furniture office and informed them about the issue. First, they tried to convince us that this is not defect and it is coming from the nature of the rustic shelves. But this is not true we have other rustic furniture and we never seen these defects on them. So, we ask them to send a technician to fix the issue or return it. After sending several emails, surprisingly they told us this was the final sale and was sold as is. Note that they do not have this shelf available in store and took about 6 weeks to deliver it to us. Indeed, the shelf was supposed to be brand new. Came by on Saturday with the hope of purchasing a large patio set to fill my rooftop patio. I noticed the brand was the same brand which is sold at 'The Patio Store' in Deerfoot meadows. When I asked the dark haired sales girl what the connection was with this store and 'The Patio Store' she became very defensive. She was quick to jump regarding the prices, claiming they were the exact same however they are not. We returned to 'The Patio Store' following this interaction to double check where we found that everything at 'The Patio Store' is ALWAYS on sale making the price a good few hundred dollars lower than this store. We ordered a patio lounge set, table and chairs from Mountain Furniture House and their sister store, the Patio Store. We worked with David, Mika and Peter and visited the stores several times before deciding on our pieces. All 3 members of the team were amazing to work with. They were professional and courteous, and provided us with emails to update us on stock, dimensions etc. We are waiting on a table because it had sold out by the time we ordered it, but all the rest of the furniture we ordered arrived within a week and was delivered by a very professional team who set up everything for us.
