We ate many of these chocolates before I took the photo, but I must tell you that no matter your preference, all flavours are wonderful and delicious. They're not too sweet like the mass produced brands that grab your throat and make you wince on the way down. They're smooth and creamy. This was our second purchase from Master Chocolates but we have followed Bernard for years and the original was a gift from my husband on our first date. We remain loyal to the man himself. When you go in to this location you will usually see the master at work. I want to edit to add that this is the label owned by the original Bernard Callebaut and when you visit the store at the Alyth-Bonnybrook location, you will often see him there. His are the best, as the folks that took over his other brand that bears his name altered the recipe from the wonderful morsels you had in the past. as they now make their chocolates with more sugar - they are not the same as they used to be. Sugar is cheaper than cream. Buy directly from Bernard. Don't buy from the take-over.

Was a wonderful visit with 3 kids to try out YYC hot chocolate. Quite an experience to see it made, taste some chocolates. Great alternative for chocolate spread that does not contain palm oil...have been looking for that for a very long time. The chocolates are very delicious and high quality - smooth and rich. Loved the selection of packaged chocolates for various occasions - will definitely be back for those as they are a great gift.

This afternoon I went to Master Chocolat in Marda Loop and I found the best vanilla ice cream in Calgary!!!! Veronica was very kind and helpful, she made me a masterpiece with 3 different toppings ( I choose Oreo, white chocolate chips and ginger candy), melted dark chocolate and a cherry on top! As you know the chocolate here is delicious....but you have to try the ice cream too!!!!

After a terrible experience with another chocolate company in Calgary that took our money and did not fill our order, Master Chocolate staff renewed our faith in small businesses! Our order was ready on time, beautifully and simply presented in a reusable bag (love that!) I preordered online and my husband picked up at the 69th Ave. store. He was so impressed with the cheerful, pleasant manner of the staff and the clean, enticing showroom. Oh, and then there is the matter of the chocolate bars we purchased for Christmas stockings! I chose a variety of bars and every single one...
