I’m writing to express a concern shared by many residents of Spruce Grove regarding the current state of our local Landmark Cinemas location. As loyal patrons and community supporters of your brand, we believe the Spruce Grove theatre is long overdue for a renovation to bring it up to the same standard as your upgraded Edmonton and St. Albert locations, particularly in regard to modernized seating, air conditioning and updated carpeting.
Many local families, couples, and moviegoers are now commuting over 20 minutes to visit your other upgraded theatres simply because the quality, comfort, and cleanliness of the Spruce Grove location no longer meet expectations. This is especially disheartening considering our city already has a Landmark branch that, with investment and attention, could easily draw this traffic back and generate more local support.
We respectfully propose a renovation, remodel, or refresh of the Spruce Grove location, and offer the following key reasons why this investment would benefit both Landmark and our community:
Stronger Local Support = Higher Sales Renovating this location would encourage Spruce Grove residents to stay local, directly increasing both ticket sales and concession revenue.
Community Loyalty and Brand Reputation Supporting a well-populated, fast-growing city like Spruce Grove with a modern cinema reflects positively on Landmark’s commitment to its communities.
Reduced Customer Attrition Currently, the outdated facilities are causing a slow loss of your loyal customer base to competing venues in Edmonton and St. Albert.
Economic Impact & Community Engagement An upgrade would keep more dollars circulating within Spruce Grove, supporting local jobs and enhancing your alignment with community development efforts.
Maximizing an Existing Asset With a prime location already established, the ROI of improving an existing property is much more cost-effective than building new, especially in a city that’s ready and waiting to show up in support.
The patrons of the City of Spruce Grove sincerely hope Landmark will consider investing in the Spruce Grove location and take the opportunity to serve this vibrant and growing community with the same standard of excellence seen in your other theatres.
All of your loyal, dedicated and amazing staff constantly hear these concerns but for some reason it falls on ears that are clearly ornaments. The upgrade is long overdue.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to hearing how Landmark Cinemas plans to bring an elevated movie experience back to...
Read moreMy little one and I decided to go watch his first movie here. It was a nice little old school movie theater, I'm not sure if it's normal but I got charged a full ticket price for my 2 year old. Upon entry you don't smell the popcorn and the staff was in the office we had to wait for someone to come to the counter. The Beverage prices are crazy it was like 6$ for a fountain coke.We had to wait for someone again to rip our ticket, the staff where busy talking to eachother. You could honestly tell that they are used to low crowds. The chairs dirty popcorn on the floor. I was like did I pay to come to a dirty room and drink overpriced beverages and stale popcorn. And once the movie was done I couldn't buy my son a stuffed animal as the counter was closed, why are the stuffed animals out in the open if we can't buy it for our children. The nostalgia of going to the movies wasn't there. Also the volume of the theater was incredibly loud especially for a kids movie. Like put some music on in the foyer and pop some popcorn. After this experience I understood why it was empty. I hate to say this but I would rather go to West Edmonton mall where they uphold the movie theater experience. I wanted to support our local theater but it was a...
Read moreI normally don’t leave reviews but I had to for this theatre! Both times I have gone with my kids the staff was amazing, just down to earth and cool. The first time we went we saw trolls band together and the young girls at the concession made my daughters feel so special. The most recent time we went I explained we were waiting for our child’s access2card and didn’t have the card yet, she still gave us the disability discount, she even mentioned that they can control the volume if it’s to loud. That was a huge concern for us as our autistic child has very sensitive ears but will refuse to wear noise canceling headphones. Though my child was determined to watch inside out 2 “normally”Just when the trailers started, our daughter was already covering her ears, I went over and found the person and took them up on the offer of turning the volume down. I really really appreciated that, it made our movie experience 100x better, knowing our child can watch and eat popcorn without holding her ears the whole time. I hope these staff members see this review and know how awesome you guys are!
We can’t wait to book our kids birthday party here in the fall. Such great staff, keep up...
