**update---
Has anyone else thought about calling Alberta Health Services on this? Or whoever inspects restaurants?
After posting my review, I took some time to read all the bad reviews of this year.
Incredible that head office hasn't stepped in.
Disrespectful employees Small portions Raw food, way more than once Dirty bathrooms Disgusting cooking areas Disgusting eating areas Lack of respect for the customers Obvious complaints about food packaging Obvious complaints about not giving customers what they paid for
How is this place still open
Head office has replied to all of these reviews, so why haven't they stepped in to fix this place?
I may have witnessed one of the worst customer service issues and resolutions ever in my life.
As I logged on here and did a short review of all the bad reviews of this place in the last year alone. I am far from surprised this is how this situation was handled.
I ordered, and was waiting for my order. A woman approached the counter and seemed upset. She was served raw chicken. Like raw. Uncooked. Unacceptable in this day and age. Also dangerous
As I was eavesdropping on the situation, it was clear the young man has zero experience or skills in handling the situation, she then asked for the manager. An east Indian man approached the counter, he was quite apologetic, but seemed he couldn't care less and just wanted her gone.
He also showed, he had zero skills in customer service.
She was clear, concise and concerned. Wanted a resolution. She mentioned she was not from here
Solution was clear, 1) would you like your money back 2) would you like us to prepare a new meal for you to take. 3) both options.
I won't get into the nitty gritty. The customer was 100% right, clear and articulate.
The young man and east Indian gentleman were uninformed and unprofessional. He actually scrawled something on a napkin and gave it to her as a solution??? Weird and unprofessional.
Which leads to the worst part of this.
As the customer leaves and with other customers in the store, the young man starts to explain how he was put off because he felt slighted that she didn't take him seriously. He thought it was because of his age, I assure you, it was because of your absolute lack of professionalism and your obvious lack of customer service skills.
Now, this east Indian gentleman displayed the worst of the night. He went on to lecture the young man and woman working about how appease these types of customers so they don't leave a bad review. Well, you served raw chicken and displayed horrible skills in customer resolution. YOU deserve a bad review.
The abousolute icing on the cake.
And I quote, the east Indian worker said,
" She's pregnant, so that's probably why she was like that "
She was "like that" because she was served raw chicken and was given zero respect and no proper resolution.
Unprofessional, rude, small portions, dirty restaurant and bathrooms and makes fun of the customers for the restaurant to hear.
My family will choose to spend their money elsewhere. If you read these reviews over the last year, please make an educated decision if you should spend your hard earned money here also.
This chain has no respect for its customers.
Lost of replies asking you to contact head office, but obviously head office isn't stepping in to fix anything. Just placating the public.
This place lives up to its bad reviews and worse.
If this is what the customers see, imagine how bad it is behind the scenes.

Read moreI went in this evening and one of the 2 individuals working was clearly too sick to be at work. between hacking coughing fits and sniffling over the food they were preparing, not changing gloves or washing hands between coughing fits and not wearing a mask i was honestly a bit put off my appetite. thankfully another patron of the establishment was also uncomfortable and asked that the sick individual not continue to prepare food. the individual then attempted to argue that it was fine since they were coughing into their elbow but only after I too asked that they not continue to prepare food as it was an incredibly unhygienic practice did they oblige and go to the back. it is unfortunate that the management of this establishment has created an environment where employees either feel they are unable to take time away when they are sick or creating a space where employees think it is ok to come in when they are very clearly too ill to be working in food service, especially when not wearing the proper ppe to make it slightly more hygienic. I’m still quite put off my food and haven’t really eaten much which is disappointing at such a high price point. I also am disappointed that my salad was placed in the same container as my hot rice and potatoes resulting in an incredibly soggy salad by the time i arrived home to eat. the ice machine on the pop dispenser was also out of order. I hope this opa location is able to improve its hygienic practices but i’m not sure i will feel comfortable...
Read moreThis was hands down the best Opa I’ve ever had! Honestly, I’d only ever had Opa in a food court, but I heard that this Opa in Spruce Grove was under new management, so, figured I’d give this one a shot, and boy, was I EVER IMPRESSED!
Had the souvlaki and Santorini salad Overall - food was VERY very good.
Chicken was super moist and well seasoned.
Salad was really fresh tasting, nice and cool and had just the right amount of dressing and feta (which can be overpowering if not done right). This can be a tough salad to get right, and I really enjoyed it.
Even the bread was better than I’d expected - light and fluffy on the inside, hit and crispy on the outside.
Overall - a REALLY great meal, definitely not a next level Opa, I’LL DEFINITELY eat here again!
Staff was super friendly, service was fast and and the food was all the right temperature. Great location, easy to get in and out of -...
