Very disappointing to see TBH nosedive. We typically order pickup, as delivery services take up to 25% from the restaurant. Our last order was a mess. Instructions on items not wanted were ignored, Asian noodle dish had no sauce, and who sends out poutine without gravy?? New cook? New mgmt? Not sure, but I'd use a delivery service. At least you can get credit for missing items. UPDATE: Of the last 5 orders, mistakes on ALL, including NO gravy for poutine?? THREE TIMES! Unless you're ordering in, DON'T! NO quality control at all here at all. What used to be the best fries in town, are now a box of undercooked potato slop. Ok, that was harsh. Let's update again, shall we... I stopped in today for the first time in years to meet a friend. We each had an order of wings and home fries. Both were INCREDIBLE!! Glad you're back BH. See you again.

I used to visit the Beer Hunter in Callingwood every Wednesday, eat the ghost pepper wings, slug some pints and read my book. Now I travel to SG for wings and instead of reading my book, I rack up high scores on the arcade machine. Service is always pleasant, plenty of televisions, wings are great because they aren’t little piddly wings you often get from other pubs. Probably harvested from a small dinosaur to be honest. I always leave a cartoon for the waitress, usually about aliens or mothman. Hopefully they don’t get taken by aliens and end up late for a shift. Overall my go-to place for dining out. 4 stars only because I can’t walk down the block anymore and they don’t have ghost pepper wings. Although the extra hot wings are just as good!

Came here after getting back from a camping trip. Got there a little late so only had a limited menu but that's alright we ordered some wings flatbread and nachos wings were pretty good flatbread was good the nachos well I think it's safe to say they are the best nachos I have had in Spruce Grove/Stony Plain in a long time. Our waitress was new and still learning a few things which was fine by us it gave her a chance to learn as well about some drinks and what not. The atmosphere was nice definitely thought they would be playing nothing but county but I was wrong :) the music was also not overly loud could actually have a conversation! Definitely coming back for nachos!

I was there with a large group of people, who have been to this establishment several times on Wing Wednesdays in the past. The past experiences have all been fantastic and with a standard wait time for a large group. This evening was a completely different story. I am not sure the young woman’s name, but I was with the group at the back of the restaurant. I got my ice tea with no ice in a timely manner; however another customer had to ask twice for his root beer, which in the end after an hour, I went up to the Bar and grabbed. As well, another customer had to ask twice for his beer that he ordered and when it didn’t come out, he too had to go up to the bar to receive his beer. During this time, several other customers have arrived and been helped with drink orders and food orders being taken. My food order was taken shortly after 6pm, and at 720pm the waitress was told to come deal with our table as we were still waiting…… that was when we were informed, she hadn’t put our orders in as the “page” was missed. I told her to cancel my order and that I wasn’t paying for my drink at this point, and to bring the manager over.

The manager was highly unprofessional and arrogant. I was pointing out that we had people order drinks twice and still not received them until we went up ourselves to get them. That is when the manager came back and said it’s due to the fact that the large group was allowed here tonight, as the policy is to not allow large groups on Wing night. Which I find funny as I have been to three other event nights with this group on wing nights, one earlier this year. He then proceeded to laugh at myself when I said I was a server and was informed by him that he feels sorry for anyone who deals with my energy in person. Your server never once came to check on my table, we had to grab her each time. She was more focused on the larger tables around us, as they all were getting refills of their drinks, their food in a timely manner and their bills. I can understand large groups are harder on the staff, but when people who came in after yourself are getting drinks, and food….. when you ordered before them, and then you have to have someone else not from your table ask the waitress to do her job and take care of our table as others are noticing we are all just sitting there. That is horrible service and not only will I be sending this email, but I will be copying it and posting it on google and yelp, as well as Facebook. Not sure what happened, as like I stated before, the past times I have been there with this large group, everyone has been handled in a timely manner, but to have a full table forgotten and then the waitress to say she forgot to put the food orders in, as she “missed” the page but it took over an hour for her to even stop at the table plus she had to be asked to check on us by other customers,...

After over 15 years of being a loyal customer and supporter of The Beer Hunter, I felt that it was long overdue to show my appreciation and give some love to the ownership, management and staff at this now, iconic, locally owned Bar & Grill. My first experience began at their west end location, where I lived just a short walk away. NFL Monday Night Football was never better than spending it there, with what my wife and I considered to be spending time with family (their employees) and friends (their patrons). The food and service has always been consistently great! They are well known, to those who have visited any of their locations, for receiving the utmost in friendly service and for their mouth watering burgers and wings, along with a creative and extensive menu. After trying chicken wings from across our province, the chicken wings that they serve have been, and continue to be, THE BEST WINGS around! Now that we have moved west of Edmonton, their Spruce Grove location has been our location of choice for the past 6 years. I tip my hat to Curtis Mellott, the CEO, for his business being sustainable and consistent for so many years, while a large number of his competitors have fallen by the wayside. I would like to give a shout out to Annie, "THE" best damn bartender with the biggest smile that you'll ever meet. And a huge shout out to Jill, "THE" most friendliest server that my wife and I have ever come across, truly one of kind. Between these two awesome ladies, the superb kitchen and back of house staff, you'll receive the very best in outstanding service and a menu of the finest bar food offering around, bar none. We have no apprehension in recommending them to anyone who is looking for a place to call their second...

Got there at 12:30 on a Sunday we had a group of 12 but had called the day before to reserve a bigger table and asked if kids were allowed they said yes to both questions well when we got there they were not busy but we stood at door for 5 min with no acknowledgment then had to make our own table up there was not one ready. Our server took at least 15min to see us she only asked half the table what they wanted for drinks after they got their coffees then she asked my half which had the children what drinks we wanted and by the way was when she finally brought menus but forgot the kids menus my husband had to get those. Then took her another 15 min to come back for our orders then we literally waited 1.5 hours for our food to come again it was not busy in there at all. As she brought them out 2 plates at a time my husband waiting another 15 until his came last, now I have been a server, bartender, and floor manager for 15yrs and have handled a restaurant all by myself much bigger than that. Not sure if our server was new or just incompetent but we had a terrible first time experience the food was ok but not worth the wait. Oh and we also arrived with another group of friends of 5 they chose to sit at another table as there was not enough room and they had another server and got and ate their food before ours hit our table. I will not recommend this...
