DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION
I made the mistake going in this sad location for the first time ever visiting a Sephora store. I was given several dirty looks and then closely followed around by every one of the staff, and I mean hovered over.. was awkward and made me feel like a criminal, which is far from who I am. Though I was having a very lazy day and maybe looking a bit rough, I noticed they were doing this to most of the customers that they just choose to automatically profile by appearance.
Sephora, employing people like this is obviously your company's biggest flaw and will eventually end with failure, closeout and bankruptcy and loss from all the future lawsuits stemming from the unethical treatment via the aggressive approach by these idiots. They should seriously stop trying to play security (hire a real one or a qualified loss prevention service) and maybe they can put that energy into selling the ridiculously over priced items because right now they are only chasing any potential sales away and making people not ever want to come back.
Like many of the other similar businesses before, the very foreseeable future to remain open and be profitable, seriously does not look any kind of promising or actually even a tiny bit likely.
Ps. I may not appear to be whatever high set standard in appearance this locations staff requirements are and I did end up making a small purchase due to the anxiety and pressure I felt from the staff, I'm not a criminal or thief and will never enter a business without money. I was planning on spending most of the large stack of cash I had in my pocket in this store but after that experience, I will never buy from any Sephora or even use any products within the brand ever again.
Good job on your beginning and end at this location specifically, hopefully you will do better and take some advice here. Without customers you will not succeed or...
Read moreWent to the new mayfield location last week after going to the WEM location to do a return from the wem location. The ladies at this location were great! Very understanding with the situation that I explained I had experienced at the WEM location. They made me feel justified for what had happened at the other location and understood when I said I’d come back in the afternoon when I had more time as they were going to help me find the proper products I was looking for. ( A lady at the WEM location was only wanting to sell me the most expensive and not what was best for my skin but only what she liked best and rushed me)
I came back in and Abeer had helped me. I explained what I was looking for and she did a colour match for me as well since I had never had that done before. Showed me many options for my skin type and in the price range I was looking for as I’m on a budget. She didn’t make me feel like I was being cheap by having a budget for what I needed or pushed to get products I didn’t want or need. She was great. Super helpful and didn’t rush me at all. I will definitely be back to look for more items with her in the near future.
The other ladies working in the store that day were also very nice. The store was very clean and tidy! And I felt very welcomed. I didn’t feel judged as I’m not a super make up person and basically had no clue what I needed exactly.
I do plan to get Abeer to do the hydrofacial on me and super excited to do that with her.
Thank you Abeer for all your help ! You have amazing customer Service.
I definitely recommend this new location and though WEM is closer to me I definitely rather go...
Read moreWorst Customer Service I have experienced at Sephora. My preferred shopping location is west Edmonton mall but since mayfield common is closer to my house. I decided to make a quick stop. Whatever her name is the lady who stands at the back of the cashier does not know what customer support means . Her main focus is to micro manage and stay busy on her iPad and yet pretends like she is doing her best for customers. Honestly Sephora y’all can do better for your customers that love your products. Be a kinder, open your ears to what the customers wants. Not everybody is a thief you don’t need to tail around customers and make them feel uncomfortable. It ruined my day to walk into MAYFIELD’s store today. Never stepping a foot in that place . Although I made a purchase of over a $1000 and I was informed to go and grab my makeup by forever return it and purchase it to receive the pink bag with the goodies and I explained my self many times that I was not informed I had to spend specifically $125 on Make up by Forvever All I got was sorry but we cannot do anything. There was a miscommunication. She did not even consider the fact that I drove home and came back based on the on what the cashier and herself informed me. Anyways I think she is mean...
