Dutch Toko — Local services in Guelph

My family visited and shopped at the Dutch Toko ever since we moved from Nederland to Oakville, ON, Canada back in the early 1950's. When I moved to Guelph in 1973, I was sooo happy to see a Dutch Toko store located here with the same quality, service, courtesy and kindness. It is my "go to" location to bring the tastes and smells of my home and the Netherlands back to me. I strongly recommend you partake of their food and gifts; you will truly enjoy them. And their attention to serve your needs is a reminder of how strong the Dutch-Canadian connection was and always will be. As a real estate BROKER, I always recommend the Dutch Toko to my clients, friends and acquaintances. Some good things never change......and this is a fine example....

Are you Dutch ? Do you like Dutch candy, food, coffee, tea, dishes, etc, etc . Omg!!! Then this the place for you! Oh they even got zoute drops….yay!! The staff in the store is amazing! You can purchase some of the candy in bulk! As in the first two pictures are double zoute drop I purchased in bulk….and yes I purchased two large bags….lol! You can purchase candy as a package as well you can see with the fruit tells picture. Oh do you like King mints you can purchase them by the box, by the roll, your choice and the price is fair.And yes the tasty Dutch cookie in the last two pictures……plus...

Fantastic selection, lady at the deli is nice but that's as far as friendliness goes. The rest of the staff is not. An employee/owner approached my 15 yr old yesterday asking if he was actually going to buy something or just hang around as she tried to get him towards the door. I informed her he was with me and not doing anything wrong, we were shopping. She then asked if I needed any help and said she wasn't implying anything . I do believe you were. Quick assumption. This is our 2nd time in the store, the staff ruined it. I can buy cheese anywhere,...
