The customer in line in front of me said "I hope we can sit by a window." When they got to the front of the line, she asked "Can we sit over there by the window?". The server said "No, sorry that section isn't open.". The woman was upset by this, mumbled something under her breath, and left.
The server sat us then walked 10 feet into the kitchen area to start loudly making fun of the woman in front of me, calling her names like "spaz".
The same server was leaning over the payment counter on the customer side with her butt in the air and chin on her palm as if she couldn't bear the be there a minute longer... chatting with the group of girls while the 1 server who seemed to care wiped down the door windows.
Aside from getting this upset by an unhappy customer, are you seriously unaware of just how loud you are back there? The dining room can hear everything. I felt very unwelcome and judged by the rude server.
Everyone else was great! The food is very good.
I understand that you have to put up with a lot, but jeez - let is roll off your back. Even if we didn't hear you, complaining like that at work is a very negative contribution to your work...
Read moreCame in for a late breakfast on Saturday to try this place. Its a fairly small restaurant tucked a bit off the road so I almost drove by it, but it has some parking in the front and lots of spots behind the restaurant. its nothing fancy but a good comfortable place for breakfast. The staff was very nice and attentive. the food was very good. Too bad they don't have a 2 egg special like most places do but the food was very good.. their version of home fries, which are not so thinly sliced potatoes cooked and seasoned perfectly, were a pleasant surprise and something i have not had before. Ive tried thinner almost chip type fries, but their version is delicious. Also they dont have rye bread as an option, but they do have sourdough option which is the way to go. the 2 pancake breakfast is also very good.. not the best.. a bit doughy and thick and huge.. really huge portions.. but very good. Staff was very friendly and the food come out quickly. Great place, and highly recommend for a weekend breakfast out...
Read moreIt's fine, but was a strange experience. It's just a lot of little things.
They wouldn't take our food order with our drink order. We had to order separately with two separate waiters.
Their sides that come with the meal are a strange combination of things for a breakfast and lunch place: tomatoes, baked beans or veggies and ranch. You can't substitute any of those with the larger selection of a la carte sides like toast.
They asked what type of bread we wanted and then gave us all white bread anyway. Although that bread is freshly baked.
The burger had generous vegetable toppings but no condiments and a very thin paddy. They got our order for Grill cheese wrong at first, putting bacon on the side rather than on top. But, they corrected it and the grill cheese was good in the end.
It's not terrible, but I wouldn't recommend it either. Maybe they're better at breakfast than lunch. The place was very busy so although we won't return they probably don't need our...
