In general, this chain is really great! They only have rescue dogs/cats for adoption, so you know that your purchase is helping support a good cause. They offer dog training at their West Island location on weekends. BUT, this location in particular has some work to do, in my opinion. I've been here 3 times since moving to Laval and the service was quite below what you can expect at other locations.
The employees were quite busy laughing and having their own conversations behind the circular cash area to see if any of the customers present needed assistance. When I asked them a question about a product, they were less than enthusiastic and didn't seem to have a basic knowledge about the product. Again, this experience is limited to this store.
At the other locations I've been to (Ste-Dorothee & Boisbriand), the employees greeted me and asked right away what they could help with. They were kind and considerate and took an interest in the well being of my animal. The Laval location has just not been like this in my experience. But hopefully, there will be improvements...

He then walked around, looked briefly and said no we don't have that. It's not the first time I go there and no one is really able to help. You are kind of on your own when you walk into this store, figure it out for yourself. The employees seem to lack basic knowledge on their products and customer service skills. To the owner - short guy, black hair with glasses. Sorry I didnt...

This also takes up more shelter space and denies other animals in need.
Supporting this type of store does not benefit any person who cares for the wellbeing and safety of animals (especially exotic animals, where they are already outside of their natural...
