Update: went in again today (I've been 292464525274 times, since my first time) and Mick was amazing. He found me a contour stick and showed me the magic of Dr. Jart for redness... It's always a great experience but I was really impressed with his knowledge and that he knows where EVERYTHING is! Thanks, Mick!
You guys... I've never walked into a Sephora before the opening of the Lethbridge location. Mostly, I went in to see what all the fuss was about, and to see if the stigma surrounding the associates was real. It's not. It seems like they have something for everyone. The store is really well layed out and very clean. I went in for the second time yesterday, near closing time, and actually needed something. I was greeted by Kayshja (thanks for writing down her name), and told her what I was looking for. She immediately knew where to go and gave me some really great options, since I clearly had no idea what I was doing. After I grabbed that, I turned around and saw a body wash specifically for bumps on the skin. I've been struggling for years with this. Kayshja told me how to use it and recommended a cream to pair with it. At this point, I think I'd trust this gorgeous human with my life, so here I am blindly spending money now. I had put down my other bags near the end of the isle, like I own the damn place, and Hannah saw them there and ended up joining my little party. I couldn't help but sing praises about Kayshja and turned out Hannah was her boss (win). Holy moly, these ladies are incredible. Now, stupid me, didn't get the lady's name at the checkout, but she was also super friendly. I was chased on my way out the store by Hannah who handed me a few samples. I am so incredibly grateful as I used the wash and cream last night and I think there's already a difference.
Thank you, ladies; I will...
Read moreI just had the most awful experience at the Lethbridge Sephora earlier today. I went in to smell some perfumes so I could decide which one I’d like for my friends to buy me as a birthday gift. Almost immediately, one of the employees started following me around the store like I was about to steal something.
When I tried a mascara tester, she told me I couldn’t due to hygiene — which I understand — but the way she spoke to me was incredibly rude and condescending. The tone, the attitude, and the way she handled it were completely unnecessary. Even after that, she continued watching me as I walked around, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I’ve been shopping at Sephora for years and have never experienced anything like this. I’ve worked at Park Place Mall for over 3.5 years and was even friends with one of the previous managers here — customer service used to be amazing. This level of rudeness and judgment is completely unacceptable, and I’m shocked this behaviour is tolerated in a store that’s supposed to pride itself on customer experience.
Absolutely disappointed and will be reconsidering future...
Read moreI am a long time customer of Sephora whenever I would go to a city that had one, so I was pumped when they opened up near me, but my experience was not as great as I was anticipating. I have been in multiple times, and every time I have needed help finding the right product for my skin. When I attempted to get an associate's attention, I either noticed them rushing away from the area I was in, or the associate I managed to ask for help seemed annoyed with me. I felt rushed when trying to find the right product, the associate's behavior was less than ideal. I noticed the associate was almost attempting to guide me somewhere and then leave without listening to my full concerns. I went in one time looking for a long lasting liquid foundation for oily skin, and a colour match. The colour match was well done, but I was offered what seemed to be the first foundation they thought of, a foundation that I later researched to be for dry skin. I just felt as if I was a nuisance to the associates and that I should have just chosen something myself. I hope this issue is reconciled because I genuinely enjoy...
