Al Emaan Halal Meat & Grocery (Dixie & Dundas) — Local services in Mississauga

STINKING MEAT AND EXPIRED GROCERY ITEMS: There are 3 halal grocery stores near my home۔ But after knowing the opening of new Al-Iman grocery store branch at Sheppard Ave E MISSISSAUGA, I, in a good will gesture made it a point to shop from here for few months because being a business woman I understand the importance of each customer to a new business opening. Sad to mention that 3 weeks before, I had pointed out 4 different expired oils to the owner. He argued that someone by mistake had put the expired bottles on the shelf... well errors do happen so excuse was accepted (though I noticed today, these and similar complaints are sinse many months, it means they dont feel their responsibilty). Today, before sun set, we purchased different meats as s part of the grocery. After the Aftari when I was making packets to put in the freezer, all of sudden house was engulfed in stink (not smell but stink). It was found that rest of the meat (mutton and chicken etc.) was OK but minsed chicken was stinking horribly. Some time chicken's meat has some acceptable smell but this was stink from the rotten meat and really bad. We immediatly sealed it in 2 zippers, wrapped in another 2 shopping bags, open the doors and windows to eliminate the smell from the house. I called the store but it had closed by then. We have put it in the fridge to keep it cool and control the stink. We intend complaining and returning tomorrow. Please stay watchout. Selling the rotten and stinking meat can't go unnoticed at the store.... so sad, and sorry to say that it was attentional effort to get rid...

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I shopped for Christmas dinner and the bag of rice had bugs in it! The chicken I purchased was super slimy & sticky and caused my whole place to stink up. I also was charged for items I didn’t order/purchase. I called to give the owner some feedback and he literally told me off over the phone and denied that anything was wrong with his chicken. My entire holiday dinner with my family is ruined because of this. He claimed that I may have defrosted the meat wrongly and the error was mine. Beware.Beware.Beware. this guy is a scammer. Over charges for items by couple dollars thinking u wont notice and adds extra charges to your bill without you knowing . My wife went in their with 6month old baby asked for some cucumbers because she was holding baby he hand picked them and said they were fresh and best ones. Driving home noticed bad smell from bags . opened it up and noticed old rotten. Mushy cucumbers. Shame on you.on top of that I looked at the bill was charged for items we never took. !!!!!!!
