Staff acts like ur trying to steal from them They're attitude is so fake to the point where it honestly feels hostile. Like they will be attached to you the whole time with this really huge, unnatural smile staring at you, but to a point where it doesn't feel like help, it feels more like they can't trust you with anything. The moment you even touch anything they will ask if they can put it in the room. It's not uncommon for changerooms to have item limits, but more than once they lost track/miscounted items while I was changing which is gonna happen no matter what, that's just human error - but they get all hyper aggressive when there's any confusion.
I was changing and this girl who works at also works at another alo store was acting like I was trying to steal something, I literally just closed the door and put my stuff down and she's already knocking "HOWS IT GOING IN THERE? ANYTHING YOU DONT WANT?" I'm like.. "uhh.. I just got in here I haven't tried anything yet" and she's like "ITS HARD TO HEAR YOU, COULD YOU OPEN THE DOOR SO I CAN HEAR YOU BETTER?" Her face is like right against the door. I told her to wait and she waited right outside my door the whole time.
I ended up buying 1 thing and at the checkout counter all of a sudden she's all "This sweater looked great on you"
It's really gross when u think about it.
They're so focused on preventing theft when that shouldn't even be part of their job - they're in sales NOT in security or loss prevention. They need to quit assuming that role because what could they even do when someone DOES steal?
There was 1 time at another Alo they even had a worker just standing in the middle of changeroom area with a laptop in order to jott down items in each room so they don't lose track and they STILL lost track (I heard them say I had 7 items when actually i had 8) I don't think their attempts of preventing theft are working and given the similar reviews here, only damaging their store.
They need to realize the reason why Alo doesn't have the same security measures as other brands, is because they don't care. Ask anyone that knows the brand, the quality of the items aren't actually that good. It's very overpriced stuff, but it's a hype brand - which isnt a bad thing. It is what it is. If they have such a problem with theft they need to take it up with their brand not on customers...
I love alot of Alo stuff & wanting to go see what's new in stores but the fact these girls apperantly work at multiple locations has turned me off because I don't wanna risk running into that attitude again
It sucks because can't even do online ordering due to online prices being double...
Read moreApproximately two months ago, I purchased a pair of ALO Recovery Mode Sneakers (Men’s size 10.5, white) at your Mississauga, Ontario store. I chose them based on their design and your brand’s reputation for quality, but unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. Eight days ago, I washed the shoes for the first time, using a delicate cycle and without a dryer. To my surprise, the sneakers shrank significantly and no longer fit me. They were not subjected to misuse or extreme conditions, so I find it unacceptable that such high-end footwear would be damaged after just one wash. I no longer have the purchase receipt, but I hope this will not prevent you from reviewing my case and offering a fair solution. I kindly ask for clear answers to the following questions: Is it normal for your sneakers to shrink after a single wash without a dryer? What kind of quality control do you apply to your products? What type of warranty do you offer in cases like this, where there’s clearly a material or manufacturing issue? Do you have any return or replacement policy for products that show such poor durability? I look forward to your prompt response. So far, my experience with ALO has been very disappointing, and I hope you can offer a resolution that reflects your brand’s commitment to customer...
Read moreHonestly the negative reviews are right. I came into the store to browse and try some things on and couldnt get 3 steps without the staff jumping at me after saying countless times that I want to hang onto my things to match them. I waited at the fitting room for a few minutes when I was ready but nobody was there, so I just went into an open room and after basically being finished with trying everything on, a lady starts aggressively knocking on my door telling me she needs to know how many items I have in my room, so I counted, and she said I have to get out for her to go in and count. I told her okay, I am almost done let me just put my clothes on, and she was very angry and impatient and said she is waiting right outside my door. As soon as I opened the door she ran in with a very bad attitude… She was very hostile so I just left the room and didnt even bother buying what I wanted. Dont get me wrong I like Alo, but these places need to hire more...
