I've been to this Moxies location a couple of times in the past and there are things that are consistently good.
The space is open, bright and modern and conducive to an awesome space for socializing with friends or family. Washrooms are very clean and well maintained despite being relatively high traffic. Food is on the mark. The portions are generous and the combination of flavors are both interesting fusions and thoughtful. My kids love the pasta from the kids menu and I always leave feeling full and satisfied.
That said, with my latest visit there were unfortunately several disappointing elements with the service that soured the overall experience. Our server was pretty low energy, disengaged and looked somewhat exasperated each time our table had a request. At most restaurants, the server is usually ready to take the order before the table is ready but our table of 14 was fully ready to put down the order a good 10 minutes before anyone came around to check on us. Table service once the food was ordered felt disjointed. Food was brought out randomly and they basically just called out the food asking who had ordered it. Considering we hadn't changed seating, it shouldn't have been hard to deliver the dish to the correct person? Food was also served with very inconsistent timing with 15 minutes lapsing between the arrival of the first order and the last one. Very awkward for the last member of our party to be sitting foodless while everyone else was just staring the dishes in front of them. Note that we had to flag down our server to check on this last missing dish instead of her checking on us to see if we had received everything okay. We were celebrating my youngest daughter's birthday and had stated this on the reservation. When it became apparent that they weren't going to acknowledge this, I separately asked our server if they had anything small for a birthday. I see in other reviews that they happily provide a complimentary brownie as a celebration dessert and this is what they did for my daughter as well. To my surprise this ended up as an extra charge on our final bill. I'm not upset by the cost of the dessert as it was reasonable, but I think it's the principle and inconsistency that is upsetting. Not only did they not end up serving the "kids menu dessert" to my youngest daughter but they also effectively swapped it to this brownie dessert and then charged us for it. Seems like an unethical grab to inflate the bill knowing the gratuity was an automatic 18%.
I'm grateful to have a restaurant like Moxies to share family celebrations at, it's just unfortunate that the quality of service can be...

Hi Nick,
I appreciate the follow-up, but I’d like to point out that the issue here seems pretty clear and could be verified by simply checking the camera footage to confirm the delay from the time the shots were ordered to when they arrived. That 40-minute wait speaks for itself, and as a guest, I don’t see how the identity of my dining companion is relevant to addressing this.
I understand that Natalie may usually provide reliable service, but her attention to our table clearly fell short that evening.
If Amira was actively supervising the bar lounge, it raises questions as to why this oversight occurred in the first place. It seems your focus here is directed more toward upholding the restaurant’s reputation than proactively managing service issues in the moment.
Thank you for reaching out. I trust that future guests will receive the attentiveness they expect from your team.
Original Review: I’ve always enjoyed the nachos with carne chicken at Moxies, and their steaks are consistently great. The staff typically bring a high-energy vibe, and the service is usually excellent.
Nonetheless, I was disappointed by the service from Natalie this time. Another server took our order, and even though we only ordered two doubles of Don Julio with Natalie, it took 40 minutes for them to arrive. The apology we received was minimal, with her saying she wasn’t sure why they hadn’t been delivered yet by anyone else.
To her credit, she was busy taking care of another party and bussing their table before checking in on us, but it did feel like some basic steps of service were skipped. It wasn’t worth bringing to management’s attention at the time, but I’d advise Natalie to at least bite-check and ensure her orders are properly followed through on.
Overall, the food and atmosphere were great, but the service didn’t quite meet the usual standard, and we had to cut our evening...

We sit there we had an appetizer drink and then I was about to order a dinner and a cake to surprise my daughter for her birthday Then they get us the bill and they said all you have to leave. It’s only one hour and a half to sit and I said we still gonna order and we still didn’t get anything for her birthday that’s a are we gonna get you the cake but pay the bill first which we did I did I paid the bill and then the manager came with the cake and he was in a rush like let’s do it fast so you can leave and I was like no you don’t talk to us like this and he said OK this is a $25 a gift card And then we noticed there’s a hair in the cake and we told him there is a hair here he was like yeah it’s fine and he didn’t do nothing.
