( November 30th 2021) I wish I could give this Amaya location zero stars. This is a third rate Indian food joint at Square One. The staff is extremely mean and rude. They are beyond cheap at this horrendous so called Indian food booth in the food court. Amaya needs to understand to be busy in these times is a boon. I am not surprised at their lack of business as they totally lack public relations and customer service. This afternoon, as I visited Amaya, at the Square One location, I was shocked at their lack of cooperation! The mint chutney or condiments are supposed to be part of an Indian meal and not required to be charged. Having said that, after already having paid a hefty bill, to come back from an untouched meal from the barricades and dine in area back to the Amaya booth just to pick up a chutney is ridiculous. Having left my wallet and my meal at the dine in area with my old parents I told them they could charge me after I finished my meal. If I could give them decent business with the high bill, surely I was not going to be miserly and run off without paying the odd dollar or two for a chutney AFTER I had eaten my meal!!! But this was not so. I was refused the chutney till I had paid the odd dollar for the chutney! In these times, when the world tries to unite you still can find an odd ball or two. Useless, ungracious, flea market mentality staff. They truly seem to a misfit in this otherwise sophisticated mall. Guys, you need to buck up ,You are left far behind in this race...
Read moreIf there was an option to rate “0” I would’ve chosen that. DO NOT MAKE MISTAKE OF GOING TO THIS PLACE EVER!! I’m soooo frustrated, annoyed and angry with my experience with Amaya. Due to religious concerns, I’m hard-core vegetarian. And I ordered “chilli paneer naan” from Amaya and when i was eating this ( I was already done with half of it) I sensed something wrong about it and with the help of one friend of mine I noticed it has chicken pieces in it. I was like what the hell, how it can be possible? I went back to the order-taker and asked what is this? He completely denied with the fact that it is chicken, after I denied to believe him, the chef came in-between and said yes it is chicken i am so sorry about this, there might be some pieces that got mixed with my onion. I will replace your naan. I was literally so angry. Like dude seriously will it compensate your highly irresponsible attitude. I cannot imagine the number of times they played with others people health, believes and trust! However , i was generous enough to not to take any other action but if you are a company serving food like this, it is highly unacceptable. Not going to Amaya ever and will sure will let know how bad it is to every person around me who have similar...
Read moreI normally don’t do this but since this establishment makes a rather bold claim to be serving “real Indian food” I can’t help but review them.
Now I know Indian food comes in a number of different varieties and I understand that this place might be serving Indian food of a very specific variety but the quality, the taste, the presentation is nothing short of garbage. I’m willing to bet that even the homeless people in India (of whom there are millions) eat better food than the one being served here. The homeless probably go to their nearest heap of trash and sort through the leftovers to fill their stomach. Well this place serves worst food than the one found in your nearest garbage bin.
Only try this place if you’re willing to eat from the trash bin.
To all the non-Pakistanis, this is not how Pakistani food looks or tastes. I apologize if you had this food thinking you were about to enjoy Pakistani food. Find a real authentic Pakistani restaurant and you’ll taste the difference.
Last but not least, never recommend this restaurant to anyone you care about. If you liked the food at this place, all it means is you have very low standards when it comes to food and should get...
