Caribou Cabs — Local services in Nunavut

As a tourist to the town of Jasper I was extremely disappointed in the way I was treated by a member of your team. It was rude, inconsiderate, and oblivious to what the purpose of a taxi service is. Kristen who picked us up at the Fairmont was friendly, chatty, and resourceful when we got to earls and I was informed it was cash only. I called the number to be picked up at the same place only to be greeted by a guy who was clearly stressed out . Couldn't give me an approx pick up time, it was cold outside snd I only was wearing at t shirt so asked if he could ball park so I didn't have to stand outside the entire time, he said no, I asked if he could call when he was outside, said no. When he got there I explained the no cash thing as I only brought a credit card with me, he said no. I got there somehow, so im stranded on the way back?

Long story short I had to get cash back via cc at a store in town that was nice enough to do so and when I called back with cash the same guy answered but Kirsten was sent. Saved my day. Caribou Cabs go the extra mile for it's riders. On two fronts, one by our driver and next by the Caribou operator later the the day. Our train from Vancouver arrived in Jasper 2.5 hours late, and we were on the edge of missing our Jasper Sky Tram take off flight. Our driver immediately understood our situation, and did all that was necessary (safely) to make our schedule. Next, after a great Sky Tram visit, we were back at our hotel, and I realized I left my medical equipment bag (CPAP) and medications in the cab. This is THE worst cab service I have ever had to deal with. The driver complained the ENTIRE time about how busy he was. He was argumentative and combative. The Fairmont Hotel told the service I needed to go into town and come back to get cold medicine. He told me he did not have time to wait around all day. He said if I didn’t like it, he would turn around. It’s $26 for a max 10 minute cab ride into town. Another $26 cab fare back. There is no meter. He only accepts cash. He is a total slime ball. He was yelling at customers on the phone while we were in the cab. Ridiculous! If there is another cab service in...
