Ooo my , how do I summarize my experience with this place !? Iāve never experienced a business go out of their way to try and make a person feel small. This place is unfriendly and unwelcoming . The staff are unpleasant, rude and ignorant. Though I really feel these words lack the meaning Iām trying to convey. My nine year old defined them as being āKarenās.ā Yes , thatās right my nine year old was witness to this unprofessionalism. At this point one would probably be thinking āWell, their baked goods must be out of this world given their enormous egos.ā But ooo no you would be mistaken. Over priced? Most definitely! So you get to pay more for subpar food and get treated like snot in the process . But hey , if paying ten times more for lower quality food and being treated poorly is your thing ⦠then youāll love this place .
This is in response to my original post ⦠This business decided their response would be about public health mandates . Nice way to try and get out of something . Let me be clear, this situation has so little to do with mandates and so much more to do with humility and kindness in different situations (some which may not make us comfortable ) I was screamed at and belittled for my choices . In life we all have choices, I get that, how we conduct ourselves is our choice. I choose to operate from a place of loving kindness and I donāt always get things right but I do have deep respect for freedom of choice in all things ā¦that being said I was not met with the same kindness and understanding I was met with hostility. I was given no helpful solutions, in fact, the solution was an idea I had to come up with on my own . I was then called by this business and screamed at more ⦠because they didnāt receive payment for a cake two days before (let me also state pre payment was not necessary until I was unmasked in their store) I guess science shows unmasked people are wayyy more likely to run out on their birthday day cakes ! However this time they were on speaker phone, while I remained calm they embarrassed themselves in front of a room full of people. At this point I felt no need to spend my money at this business. Luckily there are kind, humble people in this world . We found a bakery, very last minute . They went above and beyond. They were more than accommodating to every one of our needs. Iāll be sure to promote them , Iāll buy more cake than I ever needed actually to support them just for being decent...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered the strawberry cheesecake for my sister and it was soooooooo sickly sweet. I was hoping for something a little less sweet that had fruit and cream cheese icing but there was barely any strawberries in it, the icing tasted more like buttercream than cream cheese, and was super grainy with sugar. I had to take most of the icing off my cake, as did the four other people at the dinner. Overall it was a very sickly sweet vanilla cake with like 4-5 strawberries between the layers. Not a terrible cake overall, but definitely not what I expected when I ordered. Very very beautiful but won't order again unfortunately.
I don't like sharing bad reviews (especially for local small businesses!), and I think this place does have great cakes if you want something super duper sweet, but wanted to give a fair warning to other patrons that even the fruit based cakes are super duper sweet and to keep that in mind...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI did not know to use the words "wedding consult" since I've never planned a wedding before but I was talking to her on messenger about wedding cakes and when she asked "When would you like to come in?" I told her we would go down on Easter weekend and she said that was perfect but when we came down she was too busy for us and said we never made an appointment, not that she told us we needed to. I don't know the procedures of having a wedding "consult" so if I'm not told I'm not going to know how it works. She lost our business to Tony's Bakery, much cheaper and actually willing to stand there and talk to us, even though he was...
