What a petty response from the restaurant below. Not only did we pay for all our meals a tip was left for the rude man prior to us realizing how terrible the food and service actually were.
I would give negative stars if I could as I feel the positive reviews were done by the staff at the restaurant.
Today we ordered about 10 meals. The order was placed at 11:30 am. At 12:15 pm we were called back and told that the food was just placed on the grill and would not be ready until 1:15 pm. It was explained that we would check to see if the order was still required as this was well past our lunch hour to which the manager from Zagros hung up. When we picked up the food, the manager was extremely rude. There was no one in the restaurant while the meals were being paid for. Two men walked in and the manager began complaining that he was losing customers processing the payments on the meals. When asked for the owners information he snickered and told us “good luck, he won’t be back for 2.5 months”.
Upon returning to the office the meals were wrong. Several of the Kabobs still had plastic wrap around them that was cooked into the meat. The potatoes, French fries and Shawarma meat wasn’t cooked through. The salads did not have any dressing. Not one person was satisfied or able to eat their entire meal.
A call was made to the manager who was rude as soon as he found out that we were calling back. We explained that we wanted to speak to him about concerns regarding the service and the food to which he stated he was too busy and to call back between 3-5. He then said to bring pictures of our problems.
As a group we support small businesses in the area and are so disgusted by this whole experience that none of us will even consider returning. Not only that but we will make sure that not one person that we are acquainted with will suffer a similar fate by going here.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND EAT ANYWHERE...
Read moreHello, I ate here yesterday with my coworkers and was thoroughly disappointed to say the least. I felt as though I was being rushed to put in my order by the person serving me. The interior of the restaurant was very dark and unappealing. Not to mention the fact that the place smelled like mayonnaise, which is somewhat strange for a place that apparently serves "shawarma". I ordered a chicken shawarma and was quite saddened by the lack of actual chicken that it came with. The wrap itself was sloppily prepared, and as soon as I unwrapped the paper it instantly fell apart all over my lap while I was sitting in my vehicle. I had to go buy a new pair of pants because the ones I had were covered in Tahini sauce and it smelled terrible. The pita itself was certainly not fresh. The lettuce was dry and papery. The tomatoes were mushy. The onions lacked flavor. The "hot sauce" was not spicy and looked very strange. When I questioned my server about the appearance of the sauce he told me that he "knew what he was doing." He proceeded to try to pass off a kofte wrap as a gyro wrap to my friend. Luckily my friend has a high appreciation for cultural foods and spotted it right away. However, the server did not seem willing to admit to his mistake, and served it to him anyways. I also noticed that the server had a piece of toilet paper stuck to his shoe. The little bit of wrap that I ate gave me the worst bowel movement I have ever had in my life. I was unable to work for the rest of the day. It was extremely painful. Please, if you value your health, do not eat here.

Read moreI was so excited to have found this restaurant in Oakville, but I was disappointed when I received my food. I ordered "Bareh Kabab" with vegetables, "Vaziri Leg" with Persian Salad and Homemade chips with . The first thing you pay attention to when you open the package is the smell of the food and the quantity. Well, that was my first disappointment, because both Bareh and Koobideh didn't smell good at all. Also, Koobideh wasn't like any of the advertised pictures and it was only 6 pieces of meat in the package for Bareh Kebab. Vaziri leg tasted good and was cooked properly. But, my second disappointment was the taste of both kebabs that weren't good at all.
And this comes from the person who has tried almost all the Persian restaurants in Toronto and you get higher quality and quantity with the same prices. I believe the ingredients used un the food weren't fresh at all and what I have understood from other Google reviews, the owner doesn't care at all. But I know for sure that I'd rather drive to Toronto whenever I'm craving Persian food to eat a good quality meal, rather than ordering from a restaurant close to my house that doesn't offer good quality food and doesn't care about...
