This is a hidden Gem that is off the beaten path, and is quite honestly one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have ever eaten in. It is a small restaurant with seating for approximately 50-60 people, is clean, and has a very homey atmosphere. First view from the outside is quite ordinary, but don’t let that fool you. Once inside the first thing you notice is the wall of recognition at the entrance which is loaded with awards from different well-known organizations (Readers Choice, Trip Advidsor, and Google) and many beautiful and colourful lamps giving the restaurant a nice glow. The restaurant is family owned and it is quite obvious that there is a high level of pride in their family recipes. The menu includes various meat dishes like beef, chicken, lamb and pork as well as vegan and vegetarian options. The baba ghanouj and taboule are a must try (the best I have ever had). The service is excellent, and always carried out with courtesy and a smile. As with most good restaurants be prepared for a long wait during peak hours, so if it is busy, ordering appetizers will help you pass the time. It is an amazing value for your money, you will not regret it! From various visits it is obvious there are many regular/repeat customers. The restaurant also has take-out and catering. I am quite sure that it will be a favorite for anyone liking...
Read moreI came here because someone we were with swore by it.
Interior of the restaurant was dimly lit. A few tables. A giant illuminated decorative tree of some kind took up a lot of space. Also anyone pulling into the parking lot is sure to blind you with their headlights so maybe best to pick a seat away from the windows.
We ordered the Adonis entrée, the Chicken Shawarma entrée, Lamb Souvlaki entrée, a Shish Kafta entrée and a few Lentil soups. All of the entrees came with the same Rice, Potatoes and Greek Salad.
The Lamb was cooked well, and for $30+ it better be. Chicken Souvlaki was drenched in sauce so of course it tasted good. The Kafta was AWFUL. So dry and bland. Every bite was making my mouth dry. What a bummer. The Lentil soup was ok but I feel like it didn't taste as authentic as other places I have been. It could have used more spices. The potatoes that came with the meals were just ok. They didn't taste good or bad. However the rice that came with the meals was bland and tasteless. No saffron or anything.
Literally around the corner from this place is a restaurant called Sidra and it serves waaaaaaay better Shawarma, Lentil Soup, Kafta (tikka), and their meals come with amazingly flavorful rice and garlic potatoes.
With such a better place nearby I don't know why you would come...
Read moreLet me paint the full picture of the Adonis experience. First up, we've got the Mama's Burger – the undisputed champion of the menu. This burger is like a flavor explosion, and Mama's kafta patty is the hero of the show. But here's the pro move: ask them to add everything on that burger.
I'm talking about the works – all the fixings, the sauces, the extra goodness. Trust me, it takes the burger to a whole new level of amazing. The blend of spices in Mama's kafta patty paired with the toppings creates a taste symphony that's downright heavenly.
And let's not forget the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner with added falafels on the side – that's another level of deliciousness. It's like a culinary adventure on a plate, combining the best of Mediterranean flavors.
But beyond the food, what makes Adonis stand out is the vibe. The staff makes Adonis a home away from home – welcoming, warm, and compassionate. The staff is fantastic, and they will accommodate your order however you like. The level of customization they offer is unmatched – you can substitute ingredients or curate a meal to your liking, ensuring a personalized and delightful dining experience. At Adonis, the combination of flavorful dishes and sincere hospitality creates an unforgettable journey through the heart of the...
