I don't know who is giving this place a good rating but it certainly isn't any students. If you get sick at Queen's, you are absolutely screwed if you have to go here. For one thing, they stop taking people at the walk-in clinic literally less than an hour after it opens every day, so if you are anything but first in the door, it doesn't work. If by some miracle you do get in, be prepared to wait 3 hours to see the doctor for 5 minutes. The staff are inconsiderate and feel unqualified - I mean the doctors, not the nurses or administration, they were fine. I've never felt less comfortable with and I've never had less faith in a doctor than I have here in the times I've visited.
I don't know what to say to any Queen's student who gets sick and wants help. Just don't get sick, I guess. That seems to be the...
Read moreSurprised that they don't have family doctors here. Last visit, after the doctor got to know that I requested for family doctor from the front desk, she came into the room with a very bad attitude and the first thing she asked was "How long have you been to Canada?" with a terrible face and tone. Then she said "we don't offer family doctors here" Excuse me? Just because I'm an Asian so you can talk to me like this?
Due to my medical condition, I had my family doctor from University of Ottawa Health Service when I studied my undergrad there. Because of Queen's Student Wellness Services refused to my request, I couldn't have a record of my health condition while I was studying at Queen's. And seems like they are very proud of their poor service and their ugly attitude toward a...
Read moreSome doctors are alright - others, not so much. None are really spectacular it would seem.
Front desk staff is hit or miss, sometimes they're very understanding and helpful - other times they treat you like a nuisance. Walking into an appointment is like a game of roulette with whether or not you're going to be treated like a number or a human.
If you need to phone call Health Services, brew yourself up a cup of tea and start watching Stranger Things from the beginning - guarantee you get to Season 4 Ep. 3 before they pick up.
ABSYMAL response time via telephone. Frankly, kinda embarrassing for a University Health Service - especially one as...
