DrugSmart Pharmacy — Local services in Ontario

A pharmacist named Victor especially has always gone above and beyond for me. Once I was in quite a rush to have a prescription filled because I was required to have it on hand for an appointment later that day. This pharmacy didn't have the particular medication I needed, and Victor took the initiative to call other places to see if they could send their supply over. The alternative would have been for him to tell me to call around other places and see if I could acquire it myself, but the fact that he took on this extra work really impressed me and I'm very grateful! He has also always been very good at communicating with me about anything that he's said he'll follow up on (when I might be able to pick up a renewal, if there was something wrong with the prescription I dropped off, etc). Probably the best pharmacy I've ever used. I started going here for my prescriptions when I lived in Kingston for grad school and even two years after graduation I continue to use them (they send my medications via post). They're very thorough, quick in their service, have never gotten an order wrong, and are also really good in terms of getting in touch with you if things have changed (e.g. if the generic is unavailable, if the dosage has changed, etc.). Needed a refill on a prescription that got faxed over. Went and talked to the pharmacist to say I'd wait for the prescription to be ready. Sat and waited for over 45 minutes and finally decided to go to the counter to ask if it was ready or if I needed to come back another time. Cashier checked and it was ready but they failed to tell me. If I hadn't gone to the counter to ask I wonder how long they would have let me sit there waiting. Very dissapointed in the lack of communication between staff and lack of regard for my time as they literally watched me sit and wait. Not impressed and hope they can fix this...
