Randomly found and went to check out this place recently while in Kingston with a bit of time to kill. Its located inside one of the large University buildings and theres some street parking nearby. Helped ourselves into the museum as there didn’t seem to be any front desk or person around at all. The display area itself is surprisingly large and contains hundreds of mineral samples nicely labelled and displayed. Parts of the museum are aging and appear somewhat neglected. If you like rocks or just looking for a free thing to do in Kingston check this place out.

Beautiful hidden gem - literally. Open Mon - Fri 8:30am - 4:30pm and no admission fee. Exhibits for all ages and you may just catch some specialized knowledge personally from the curator or a professor or student in the geology department passing by. Fossils, minerals, rocks!

Free admission because March of Museum. Miller Museum of Geology is located inside of Queen’s University. The museum of Geology is informative and educational. Many play and learn games. Kids will love it. If you have more time, you can walk around Queen’s University too.

We spent five days here with Beyond Classrooms and couldn't have asked for a better person to spend our time with. Mark, The curator of The Miller Museum of Geology, is incredibly knowledgeable and personable, there wasn't a question he couldn't answer! It may be a small museum but the quality is fantastic. I have never held a meteorite before and to hold the largest ever recovered was an amazing experience! I was very impressed with the quality of the exhibits and attention to detail that has been put into them. The augmented reality sand box is unbelievable and just goes to show how much care and effort is put into this museum. A little gem, hidden in Queens but a...

This was such a lovely museum! We are from out of town but had an errand to run and wanted to make a fun day out of it. My gem-obsessed 6 year old loved our visit, and there was enough to entertain my 3 year old too! The curator identified some of my son's gems for him and let him take some little free samples too, which made his day. Such a great homeschool outing, and all for free! Thank you for a wonderful...
