Very bad experience with these people. On November 24, 2013, my husband and I purchased a television and paid cash for it even though they didn't have it in the store. We were told it would be in Friday, November 28, 2013, at which time we went to the store with a flyer that had the same television for a lesser price than we had paid. I asked if we could get ours for the same price and were told, "no", that is was a special promotion. In most cases the stores will usually give the customer the reduced rate of an item that has been advertised but not these people, they already had the full price of the television so why would they bother to give us a deal. To top it all off the television hadn't come in yet and we were told we had to pay a re-stocking fee, I was shocked, why were we being charged a re-stocking fee when they didn't even have the item in the store in the first place. It's been almost three weeks and I'm still waiting for my reduced refund, I will be posting this on Facebook as well for everyone to see what a bunch of crooks that are...
Read moreWe visited the store on July 18, 2025, around 5 PM, hoping to purchase a couch and loveseat. As we walked in, one of the sales representatives briefly asked what we were looking for and then left us on our own, there was no sense of welcome or engagement.
Despite that, we continued browsing and even selected a couch we liked. When I approached the same salesperson with questions about pricing and delivery, her responses felt dismissive and disinterested. Without even being asked, she bluntly said there were no discounts available, and her overall attitude made us feel unwelcome and unvalued as customers.
My honest suggestion: In today’s competitive market, it’s a buyers market, customer experience makes a huge difference. Whether someone ends up buying or not, being polite and approachable with a simple smile goes a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left us with no desire to purchase anything...
Read moreI was shopping for a new dining table and had my eye on a certain Ashley table from a local retailer. I expanded my search and found the same table at Dufresne, little further away but still within an hour of home. Dufresne had this table on sale ($240 off) but even the regular retail price was $600 lower than the closest retailer. Since it was before operating hours, I used the chat function on the website and confirmed this is the exact same table and had an earlier estimated pick-up date than the closer retailer (not a stock item). The chat agent also provided me a direct link to Dufresne's return/refund policy because it's tough to make a decision without seeing the item in person. Since I saved $840 before taxes from choosing Dufresne, I didn't think twice about purchasing the 5 year warranty for an additional $175. The local retailer offered a 4 year warranty for...
