National Bank — Local services in Richmond

Beware, this National Bank branch tried to get honest reviews hidden or removed. All their good reviews are paid for. Imagine how they deal with you or your deposit when things go wrong. Not sure how these people stayed in business.

If clients are not happy, they will waste your time further by asking you to go through their internal process. Then you get the typical response “we investigated ourselves and found nothing wrong”. Don’t bother sending emails or complaining because you will get the same good ol’ “it is responsibility of other departments”.

Their personal side is fine though. However, their business side is a disaster. Technology is non-existent (broken app). People are not too rude but downright incompetent and couldn’t get anything done. Then one of these guys closed your account for no reason because they “feel” like it.

These Business guys are the biggest leeches of society. They sit in their offices all-day long doing nothing, hopefully they won’t get caught until they retire. Bring your business to Scotia or RBC and you will experience a much better...

The worst banking experience ever. Got convinced to transfer mortgage here then when I wanted to pay off my mortgage. There is all these excuses to delay my transaction. I could not find anyone from Richmond branch knows what they were doing and how to discharge my mortgage. Then they said I need to hire a lawyer to discharge it but the bank still going to charge me 75 dollars discharge fee. Never had this kind of experience before with any other banks. This is the worst bank ever and will never bank here again. Also shared my experience with my friends and family. My friend is transferring their mortgage to other banks when it is matured. There is never anyone pick up the phone when you call the branch and they never update their voice message. Please send some capable people to do coaching sessions for the staff at this location.
