I discovered The Ashborne Cafe just a week ago, and Iâm so glad I did! I stopped in for a coffee and had the most delicious latte. The ambiance immediately won me over with the soft French musette music playing in the background, which added a lovely touch to the atmosphere. The dĂ©cor was also fantasticâblack walls, warm wood accents, and just the right amount of greenery to create a cozy and inviting space.
I treated myself to a berry and white loaf, and it was incredible. I loved that it was made with gluten-free ingredients and non-refined sugar, which made it feel like a special, healthier indulgence. The quality of everything really impressed me.
So, I brought a friend along the next time, and we decided to try the lunch menu. We both had the smoked salmon sandwich, and wow, it did not disappoint! The sourdough charcoal bread was such an interesting choiceâperfectly paired with the creamy goat cheese and flavorful smoked salmon. It was such a delicious and unique combination.
The only small difference on my second visit was the music. While the ambiance was still lovely, the music was different this time and not quite as enjoyable as the French musette from my first visit. However, the volume was still reasonable, so it didnât detract from the experience at all.
All in all, The Ashborne Cafe is a hidden gem, and I canât wait to go back for more. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy spot with great...
Read moreThis quaint establishment proved to be a delightful discovery when we embarked on a quest for the "best breakfast" in town. Though the menu may not be extensive, mirroring the nature of a café rather than a full-scale restaurant, it boasts an excellent selection of quality options. We were particularly taken with the poached eggs and avocado toast, both of which were scrumptiously prepared.
Having been in operation for the past seven years, the influence of one of the proprietors, a professional designer, is apparent in the unique and aesthetically pleasing interior decor.
The gastronomic experience was sublime, with the sourdough toast serving as an ideal platform for the perfectly poached eggs. Accompanying this was a delectable bulletproof coffee that was brewed with such finesse, it could have satisfied even the discerning palate of Dave Asprey.
Additionally, for the connoisseurs of sweetness who also value their health, there is an impressive array of superfood-infused treats on offer.
Our fortuitous decision to visit this charming venue was thoroughly rewarding, and we would heartily...
Read moreIâm giving âïžstar only because of the barista â the only person who was actually working in this place. We waited half an hour just for coffee. When we politely asked why it was taking so long, the second staff member started arguing with us instead of addressing the issue. Iâve never experienced anything like it â staff actually arguing with customers over a valid complaint. This same employee, during the busy rush, made no attempt to help the barista or speed up the process. Instead, she continued chatting with customers while the place was a mess. The tables and floors were dirty, and her idea of âcleaningâ was just sweeping trash from the tables onto the floor. Absolutely disgusting. And as for the tip option on the terminal â you canât skip it, you can only choose how much to tip. Tell me again, what exactly am I tipping for? The non-existent service? The 30-minute wait for coffee? The dirty tables and floors? Or the rude attitude? To top it off, they didnât even have cups for the drinks or plates for desserts â everything was served in paper. Apparently, washing dishes is too...
