Gateway Pizza — Local services in Surrey

One of the best places I ever went but will not be going any further. Today, I ordered through a phone for pickup and my order was 1 daal makhni, 4 naan breads, & 4 chapattis. First we gave our order and it was repeated by them as well. Finally when I went in store for pickup my order, it was repeated again by Gateway representative before charging me for that. When I went back home I noticed that they gave me kadahi paneer instead of daal makhni. I called Gateway and told representative about my situation. She responded that she will give me a call back after checking. I got a call from another representative and asked me to confirm what happened. When I told him everything he said sorry. I said if possible can you please deliver daal makhni because I wasn't able to go back. The representative said they can only give me 50% refund for the curry which was $7. I said how can you even justify that with a wrong order. He added, kadahi paneer is also a veggie option you can have that as well. I felt bad when I heard that and said how can you say that. I didn't even completed my sentence and there was another voice over the phone. Without any introduction in aggressive voice he said I am giving you $7 credit for future use and take it. I said how can you even without introducing and asking me make that decision. I also asked is this is the way you talk to your customers. He said, I am the OWNER of the place and I have an AUTHORITY to speak like that. He also said that they are not machines built with iron it can happen. The tone he used was way too inappropriate. After listening to what he said I packed the whole food and left aside. I couldn't even look back at the food after hearing what he said. The worst service i have seen ever in a restaurant. Ordered $100 of food from them. Came from kelowna and thought about getting good food and got my family that was going to osoyoos order from here instead of mirch masala , 10 mins away from them( should have gotten food from mirch masala instead of these idiots) we all were travelling the whole day and got back home around 1 am to eat the food and realise that both the paneer tikka masala we ordered had 6 pieces of paneer all together. Was such a bumme rand waste of money. But the most irritating thing was to deal with the incompetent staff they have. They didn’t apologize once. Blamed me for having food without paneer in it. Told to have told them right there and then. If i am driving to kelowna, i will only check the food when i am home right? Those 2 girls on the phone are so freaking dumb and rude. They didn’t compensate for the food, kept running away from getting me the manager. All kinds of excuses to not refund me the $100 that they stole from me for providing me with food that doesn’t even have 3 paneer pieces and that is for a large container. I recently dined at Gateway Pizza in Surrey and had an exceptional culinary experience. Despite the name, this place serves some of the most authentic and delicious Indian food I have ever tasted. I ordered the palak paneer and Rumali roti, and both dishes exceeded my expectations.

The palak paneer was creamy and perfectly seasoned, with fresh spinach and soft, flavorful paneer cubes. It was a delightful blend of spices and textures that left me wanting more. The Rumali roti was light, airy, and a perfect complement to the rich and savory palak paneer. The combination of these two dishes was simply finger-licking delicious.
