Eaton Centre – Where Urban Style Meets European Elegance 🛍️✨

Right in the heart of downtown Toronto, steps away from the lake, you’ll find Eaton Centre — a massive, multi-level shopping haven that blends energy, elegance, and endless options.

As you walk in, you’re immediately drawn upward by its sweeping glass ceiling — a beautiful curved structure that feels more Milan than North America. It reminded me of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Italy — that same airy, timeless European charm right in the middle of Toronto.

This mall is home to all the major brands you can imagine, and if you’re a deal-hunter, you’re in luck — many shops offer great discounts, especially during seasonal sales. There are plenty of cozy benches scattered throughout, perfect for quick breaks between shopping sprees.

Hungry? The food court is a world of its own: from fresh juices to international cuisine, natural snacks to artisan coffee — there’s something for every craving and every budget.

Honestly, exploring every corner of this place could take two days or more — it’s that big and full of surprises.

Eaton Centre isn’t just a mall — it’s an experience. Whether you’re chasing trends, sipping smoothies, or simply people-watching beneath that iconic ceiling, it’s easy to lose track of time... in the best way...

Stopped by here on a busy Sunday afternoon! 😁 I came by to purchase a couple of books that I wanted to buy. One of the books was on the shelf... The other one was not (I checked online to see if it is in stock and there is exactly 1 left).

I did not call ahead of time to verify if it was on the shelf. I just dropped in because it was on the way before meeting up with a buddy. One of the associates was helpful and found one of my books. The other one was not found on the shelf... Maybe it was already sold...

Two days later, I call and ask if they got the book in stock... I was told yes, one copy only, and I asked my friend to buy the book for me (an hour after the call)...turns out that they did not have the copy... not pleased to hear that... I guess I will just order online instead of waste time. Btw, it still says on the website 1 copy is left...

I would give 5 stars to the associate that was super helpful and kind. He deserves it (I feel bad I didn't get his name!) As for the book, if they don't have they should update their system/website...

Overall, I would give this Indigo a...

I was at the Indigo in the Eaton Ctr. Tricia (Trisha?) is the most amazing Indigo employee that has ever assisted me. She went beyond what she had to do to help me and ended up being the most amazing god send of a helper! I gave her the details of the type of book I'm looking for and while she couldn't name any books off the top of her head, she took me to the general section for those types of books and left me to peruse the selection. About 5 minutes later Tricia came back and informed me that she did a search on the types of books I am looking for and came up with some possibilities for me. The books she had found was exactly what I was looking for! She didn't have to do that! I mean, she had already guided me to the section I needed and I thanked her kindly. I felt that she had done her job and wasn't expecting anything else from her. I have to say... that I really appreciated that she went the extra mile to help me. She is such a polite lady, confident and very customer oriented! Way to go, Tricia (I hope I'm spelling that right)! And way to go Indigo for hiring such a...

Indigo Bookstore is one of my absolute favorite spots in Toronto. It’s more than just a bookstore—it’s a relaxing and inspiring space to browse, discover, and unwind. The wide selection of books across all genres is fantastic, and I also love their curated stationery, gifts, and lifestyle items—you’ll often come across fun and unexpected finds. My go-to place looking for gifts and a must-go Xmas shopping destination. The cafe on second floor has been changed to Columbus Cafe&Co, and outside of the cafe area, there are seats scattered throughout the store, which makes it a perfect spot to take a short break—whether you’re flipping through a book, catching up on emails, or just recharging yourself. The staffs at Indigo are very friendly, too. It is a place offers a quiet escape in the middle of the city, and it’s always worth stopping by.

Indigo Books Music & Cafe never lets me down. The place always inspires me through its books, the thoughtful layout, and even the energy of the other visitors. I love spending time there, whether I’m browsing the latest releases, discovering hidden gems, or revisiting a classic. Each visit feels like a journey into new worlds and ideas, all waiting to be explored. The ambiance has a quiet, welcoming charm that makes me want to linger. And with an espresso in hand, I can pause and reflect or even doze for a moment if I need to. The cafe is the perfect companion to the bookstore’s inviting atmosphere, adding a touch of warmth to the experience. Indigo isn’t just a bookstore for me—it’s a place of comfort and inspiration, where time slips by as I lose myself in the pages. It fills me up, mind, body, and spirit.
