Freshly Squeezed — Restaurant in Toronto

I’m sure this happened to other people too. When cashing out, there’s a note on the screen saying “If you don’t get a receipt at checkout your drink is free” which is NOT honoured. We paid, the guy gave us our drinks and turned away and as we were about to walk away, I say “these are free right”? Guy had no idea and then I pointed to the screen, upon which a receipt was produced and held out to me. I go on to say that as per the note our order should be free. I would’ve walked away with my order and wouldn’t have received a receipt without asking for it. Not even an apology. Guy goes on to say how there’s a big line up behind me and I reply saying I’m still here and you’re serving me. Guy loses it and says “you want money right? Give me your email address and I’ll transfer you from my personal account” as he pushes a pen at me. I refuse to give out any info since I realized there is not going to be an official refund. No apology or remorse - just attitude. Pineapple juice tasted like fermented/carbonated canned pineapple juice, although the pomegranate juice was alright. Not worth the high price. I recently visited Freshly Squeezed in Toronto and tried the Mango Tango and Pink Punch smoothies. What a refreshing pick-me-up!

On previous visits, I have told workers prior to paying that I work in the mall and have had a mall employee discount applied. On a recent visit, I was told they do not offer those discounts. Ok I thought it IS only 10% not a huge deal if a little annoying based on principle. I ordered my beverage and asked if it could be made with almond or oat milk. The worker told me no it is made with yogurt. Well ok I figure that's fine I can deal with it (everyone who is lactose intolerant thinks the same I'm sure lol), but to add insult to injury, I receive my drink and it just looks like green sludge.
