Update: I contacted you on July 22 as you advised, seeking to improve my previous experiences. However, more than a week has passed without any follow-up. Your assurance of addressing such feedback in a reply here and then not following up shows your level of customer support after the purchase.
Review: My initial interactions at the European Watch Boutique in Toronto's Eaton Centre were excellent, thanks to Ryan and Yeganeh's outstanding service. Their assistance made the purchase process enjoyable, and Ryan's efforts particularly influenced my decision to buy.
However, the experience declined sharply due to an issue with an older Asian lady on staff. After accidentally leaving my Apple Watch at the store, I called within operating hours while nearby. Despite there being time before closing, she unhelpfully cited "company policy" and insisted I return the next day. It took considerable insistence and a rushed return to the store to retrieve my watch before closing. Her unhelpful demeanor, treating the return of my property as a monumental favor, was disappointing! By returning my own property you’re not doing a huge favor! This should not need to be explained.
This incident, particularly the unhelpful attitude of this staff member, has significantly impacted my overall impression of the boutique and discourages future visits. Your assurance of addressing such feedback and then not following up...
Read moreI was shopping for an engagement ring for my girlfriend and I stopped in to the European Jewellery store at the Eaton Centre after receiving less than ideal service at several other stores, such as Michael Hill, Tiffany and Raffi Jewelers. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Bert. He was most gracious with his time and took every opportunity to make me feel comfortable and educated when looking at the settings.
I decided that Tacori was the way to go. I met with Bert numerous times to look at different settings and at no time did he ever make me feel rushed or pressured. I finally decided on a setting with Bert's help. At that point, it was time to pick a center stone. Again, Bert took his time educating me and going through the many options available to me. With his expert knowledge and advice, we picked a center stone that fit my budget, while maximizing the quality of the stone. The completed ring came in and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Needless to say, my proposal was accepted by my girlfriend (now fiance) and she absolutely loves her ring.
I would absolutely 100% recommend Bert and European Jewellery at the Eaton Centre to anyone and everyone. Please go and see Bert. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and in no way pressures customers.
Bert, we'll be coming to see you for wedding bands!!
Thank you again, Bert. You're...
Read moreUnbelievably bad experience (on Sunday, Oct 12, ‘25). My boyfriend and I walked into the store to look at watches.
A female staff member working that day immediately made us feel like we are assumed to be criminals.
Despite the fact, both of us were already wearing very expensive watches and dressed nicely, she hovered about 1m (or less) behind us throughout the entire store. When I asked to look at a Breitling SuperOcean, she pulled it out and told me the price and then put it back in the cabinet. When I asked to try it on, she just looked at me and pretended she didn’t understand English.
When I started asking about the functionality of the new Tissot T-Touch watches she literally made up information and made a weird comment that you’d need to wear a helmet(?). When I corrected her and informed her I already own the Race version she again pretended not to understand English.
I directly pointed out to her that we are interested to actually make a purchase but would like to actually know facts and possibly try something on she continued to make us so uncomfortable by ignoring requests and just hovering behind, that we finally just walked out of the store.
If the intent is to make people feel uncomfortable and not actually sell anything, they’re definitely nailing it with this woman...
