Ohyo Spree Claw Machine Arcade – A Fun but Frustrating Experience
If you’re a fan of claw machines and enjoy the thrill of trying to win that perfect plush toy, Ohyo Spree Claw Machine Arcade might just be your next favorite spot. Tucked away in a lively part of the city, this arcade offers a wide array of claw machines, each filled with a colorful assortment of prizes ranging from cute plushies to high-tech gadgets.
The arcade is brightly lit and has a fun, energetic vibe that draws you in as soon as you walk through the doors. The staff is friendly and always available to help if you encounter any issues, which is a nice touch. The variety of claw machines is impressive, with different levels of difficulty and prize sizes to keep things interesting.
However, while the arcade is undeniably fun, it can also be quite frustrating. Like most claw machines, the odds of winning can feel a bit stacked against you. The claws often seem to loosen their grip just when you think you’ve snagged that coveted prize, leading to more than a few moments of disappointment. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and spend more money than you intended, so it’s something to keep in mind if you’re on a budget.
On the plus side, Ohyo Spree often runs promotions and offers, which can make your experience more enjoyable and possibly increase your chances of walking away with a prize. The machines are well-maintained, and the variety of prizes is constantly updated, which keeps things fresh for repeat visitors.
Overall, Ohyo Spree Claw Machine Arcade is a fun place to spend some time, especially if you enjoy a bit of a challenge. Just be prepared for the occasional frustration that comes with claw machines and remember to set a spending limit before you start. With a bit of luck, you might just walk away with that...
Read moreOur 3rd claw machine arcade to visit as a family. I can say that this arcade is for the skilled. Very difficult to get a prize. The claws shook wildly and drop the prizes almost all the time just before reaching the hole. Need at least 3 tries if you really want to get a particular prize. Not like the other ones that we visited where my son, 7 yrs old, gets a prize more easily.
Yesterday, he was frustrated and I am sad for him. He did not get anything. Regret not going to our first choice. This was part of our family day celebration. My son is a very jolly person. Dances, sings, jumps, has his own celebration act when happy. Yesterday we left with his shoulders slumped. And I cannot bear telling him we don't have anymore tokens. "But I haven't got a prize!"
A staff watching him once and saw that the claw got his prize but dropped as it was nearing the hole just said, "get better aim next time." Like, What??!
We only had 6 toys out of 200+ tokens VS other arcades where we went home with 2 carts of toys! We even donated several to community centers.
Sorry but not coming back. Not fun for us. No wonder not too many people even...
Read moreWe won some things and spent a fair bit but compared to other places it felt very disadvantaged….. kinda riggedish
Example 1. The 4 coin giant plush machine. Moves at different intervals depending on release of button. If you release the button/trigger the blade before the rope it shutters a lil as it immediately stops. If you release it just as it hits the rope, it lags causing the blade to go just past the rope making the timing to land it much more difficult than other places.
Example 2. The claw machine grip is significantly weaker than most claw games. You will get many perfect grabs to no success but only really succeed when it drops and bounces off other plushies.
Example 3. Look at the photo below. They opened it up and got the prize out from it but the fact it didn’t drop when it should of is a little suspicious.
Plush was cute tho we won 2 things shown in photo as-well. And they got a neat credit system for exchanging items for better things. Friendly staff, very clean and great lighting displays.
Edit i went back for opening day and won alot so im a change...
