I recently visited Ricardo’s Kandy Korner at the Eaton Centre, and overall, it was quite an experience!

First of all, the location is fantastic. Being right in the heart of the Eaton Centre makes it super convenient to stop by, whether you’re shopping, catching up with friends, or just passing through downtown Toronto. The shop is easy to find, and its bright, colorful display is very inviting — you literally can’t miss it.

Another big plus is the incredible variety. They have an impressive selection of candies from all over the world — nostalgic childhood favorites, international sweets, gummies in every shape and flavor you can imagine, chocolates, licorice, sour candies… you name it. It really feels like stepping into a candy wonderland, and it’s almost impossible not to find something you’ll love.

However, there are a couple of things that left me a bit disappointed. The prices are very high, even for a specialty candy store in a prime location. While I totally understand that imported and unique candies cost more, some of the prices felt excessive. A small bag can add up quickly, and you might end up spending much more than you planned for just a few treats.

Also, the store was extremely busy when I visited. I suppose that speaks to its popularity, but the space felt crowded and a bit overwhelming. It was hard to move around comfortably and really enjoy browsing without constantly bumping into other customers. The line to pay was long, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed trying to keep up with the rush.

That said, the staff were still friendly and did their best to help despite how hectic it was.

Overall, Ricardo’s Kandy Korner is a great spot if you’re looking for a fun candy fix in a convenient downtown location and don’t mind splurging a bit. I’d recommend visiting during off-peak hours if you can, so you can take your time exploring all the amazing options without the stress of big crowds.

If you’re a candy lover and want to treat yourself (and don’t mind the higher prices), it’s definitely worth checking out. Just be ready for the sticker shock and the...

Ricardo’s Kandy Korner was more than just a candy shop for my then-girlfriend and me — it became one of our favourite weekend rituals. We’d visit almost every other weekend, and at times every weekend, just to browse and see what new, rare treasures they had in stock. And every time, without fail, we’d end up spending a small fortune on candies and snacks you simply can’t find anywhere else.

It wasn’t just about the candy — it was the experience. We’d explore every corner of the store, excitedly pointing things out to each other like kids in a wonderland. From international chocolates to nostalgic treats and ultra-rare snacks, every visit felt like a mini adventure. Sometimes, we didn’t even want to open what we bought because it felt like we were holding something truly special — we’d literally “cheers” the wrappers like they were champagne, celebrating how rare and exciting it was to find something that unique.

This place holds such fun, sweet memories for me. Whether you’re looking for something nostalgic, something weird, or something you’ve never seen before, Ricardo’s Kandy Korner is an absolute gem. You’ll leave with your hands full and a smile on your face — and maybe a new tradition...

Stepping into this candy shop is like taking a delicious trip around the world. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a vibrant rainbow of colors from floor to ceiling, with shelves and bins overflowing with treats from all corners of the globe. I've been to many candy stores, but none have had a selection quite like this. They truly live up to their "exotic international" name. I found everything from Japanese Kit Kats in wild flavors I didn't even know existed to unique chocolates from Belgium and colorful gummies from Germany. There are also hard-to-find snacks from places like Mexico, South Korea, and the UK. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They were happy to help me track down some specific candies I was looking for and even recommended some new things based on my preferences. The prices are also very reasonable, especially considering how rare some of these items are. Whether you're looking for a taste of home, want to try something new and exciting, or are searching for the perfect gift for a foodie friend, this is the place to go. You could spend hours just exploring all the different options. I can't wait to go back and discover more...
