Pie Squared — Local services in Toronto

From the moment I stepped into Pie Squared, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly "hello". Very attentive staff who ensured my first squared pie experience would be exceptional. Such a cute shop too! I was only going to grab one pie to go, but happily walked out with four. So glad I did. My favorite was their chicken pot pie, followed by moroccan vegetable, Guinness steak, and pulled pork. The crust is flaky and each pie is packed with different levels of flavor, which you can tell are made from the heart. I highly recommend grabbing any savory pie to take home and enjoy with a nice pint. It's authentic British style pub fare done right. Can't wait to go back. They only lose one star from my rating because the pies ought to be slightly deeper. You still get tons of proper meat or veggies if you had the veggie pie. Still nicely filling. Well done,...

I've been to this location maybe 4-5 times over the last 3 years since I first discovered it. I really love their savoury pies! They're moist and flavourful, and the crust is nice and flaky. Sometimes its a bit sad when the pie you want has sold out, but the store tends to be empty when I go, so I understand not wanting to make more than necessary. Shops always clean, the person behind the counter is always energetic and cool. They had a pop up at Yorkdale that I went to maybe 3 times while they were open. I do really wish they would open other locations as this one is quite far and it's not open Sundays (my only real free day), but it just makes it more worthwhile...

These pies were utterly disappointing. We decided to try something different from The Pie Commission, so ordered 8 pies from the Yorkdale location. 2 Jerk Chicken, 2 Chicken Pot Pies, 1 Steak and Cheese, 1 Pulled Pork and 2 Chocolate and Banana Pies. I will say they are cheaper than the Pie Commission, but also smaller. The PIE itself is not buttery or flakey at all, more of a soggy texture.... At least now I know for sure, there aren't any pies better than the...
