Really horrible experience yesterday. I open a band draft from CIBC cross street and go directly to TD to deposit to my laywer account. When I deposit the band draft, I show the female manager that my receipt of the bank draft, which opened minutes ago from CIBC cross the street.Later, my lawyer said the check been hold. Then I went back to check what happens. Then unbelievable thing happen, 1. The front desk said the manager not here, and the manager is the only one can make the decision. So there is nothing can be done. I got so mad and I cannot image that there is one people that will gate all the transactions. Let me see if the female manager is not there. The bank can not doing anything???????? 2. Magical, the female Manager show up !!!!!!!! She did teach me lessons what I should do, but did not solve the problem. She said she is the sole decision that the check is release or hold. I should negotiate with here when I make the deposit. What ?????? Is this court or bank? I need to negotiate with her when I deposit a check ? Even I negotiated with her, I can image her answer, I can not tell you anything. Then I ask could you please verify my check through back office and release it, this is the normal procedure every band did. Her answer shocked me. Funds were placed on hold by the back office for almost 24 hours without notice to us causing inconvenience and inability to transact. One phone call to Arti and she and her manager Iryna went above and beyond to do the needful to have the hold released. Arti showed great accountability and responsibility towards being a TD employee to ensure I was satisfied even though the mistake was not hers or by the branch proving to be a great team player. It goes to show they take pride in customer satisfaction and would not leave the office until the problem was solved. Read moreI made an appointment at this branch to open a debit card account but the advisor that I had appointment with did not even show up. After ten minutes of waiting a financial advisor helped me but seemed like she knew nothing about the system. I don't know whether this is the case for other branches of TD but the employees at this branch are definitely unprofessional. They are not even trying to make you feel that you're being valued or respected as a client, and they are wasting your time&trust for no reason.
